John Hanson tried it but prior to his 2nd or 3rd auction someone (I have my suspicions) rung the auction venue saying that they were from the gaming board and if the auction took place the machines would be seized as he did not have a gaming license. The license being a ridiculous amount and the mag...

Early Bryans Clock Lock

I am in the process of restoring an early clock with the back door. Easy question really not having a back door, was it fitted with a yale lock (the type with the square bezel) or the lowe & fletcher type (locker lock) with the flat key?

I had one myself for a short period of time but sold it on. The only thing I remember is that the one I had did not have a coin box underneath. I sold mine for £65. Yours looks tidier than mine. :D

Tick tock award card

I noticed your award card is looking a bit aged. Trickler does some nice repro's. Note from Site Admin: I've replaced the name and email address with Trickler's Username to prevent the deluge of Spam which will result from posting an email address on a public forum. Click the username to conta...

AAM Flyer

AAM topic merge - Site Admin
Received a flyer from the AAM today its seems a lot of subscriptions had ended before the magazine did (mine had not). No mention of internet liable in this one and Steve has a lot of catering equipment for sale.
Anyone care to comment?

Re The Mystery of Mad Money - Sega or Mills?

My basic knowledge of slots tells me that Shefras made replacement parts and that the shefras escalator I had in a copper sega was a two play for one shilling .The coin would be retained until the second pull of the handle where the coin would run and fall into the coin tube. The only Mad money mach...

fruit clock

Hi, I spoke to a Bryans collector at an auction, a few years ago now. He told me he had one of these. This is the first one I have seen. There is nothing metioned on Melvyn Wright's Bryans site about this style of clock. The paper clock dial looks good. The bar symbol looks like Bryans version of th...

John Hanson's mag

I too thought John Hanson's mag was a gud un. I attended his auctions which were quite good and not too far for me. But he had someone throw a spanner in the works by ringing the hotel they were held at the day before stating that because he did not have a gaming board license, if the auction went a...

Hi top

Latest buy is a 777 Mills Hi top. Nice un molested condition just requires new reel strips ,a bit of a tweak as the payouts are miles out and a lick of paint. A nice feature is the original casino name plate "Lucky Strike Club". :boing!:
