Re: gemini big ben

I was in Cork, Ireland about 5 years ago. I was trying to buy some machines from a fairground man and he was trying to give me four of these for free. They were massive. I did not take them and got no machines from him. The day was a total loss.

Re: Saffron Walden

I went to a few auctions there. I found them OK but no bargains. They were run by a man who also owns House on the Hill toy museum at Stansted Mountfitchet. I'm not sure why they finished but I think it would have been about 1998 or 1999 the last one I went to.

Re: Elephant House Auctions

The prices at yesterday's sale were up and down all day.
I think this was because collectors were only chasing the machines they didn't have.
When the Bryans machines were being sold you could have heard a pin drop. Everyone was waiting to see what prices they made.

Re: Bryans paint for internal mechanism

If you look in your local Yellow Pages or do a web search you will find automotive paint shops thats will make you a can of spray. I have used one in Romford, Essex and the blue colour for the mechanism was right. They have paper swatches and match the colour of your metal part.
Hope this helps.

Re: Bradley Challenger and variants

Hi,
The locks on my machine are numbered the same also.
I have taken some picture of the glass on my Challenger and will post them soon. The two small pins are needed to hold the half sheet of glass in place.

Re: Machines at Aston's (Dudley) on 8th November

Hi, I won the Farmyard Shooter. Not a bad machine, it has original parts in a new wooden case. The cast metal feet have bolts in them so you can adjust them on an uneven floor. This makes the case seem taller than a Pussy Shooter. At the moment the machine is painted a light blue colour. Does anyone...

Re: French corner claw

Hi everyone, I have been friends with Jim Roller of Brownwood, Texas for a few years now. We both like arcade cranes very much. We contact each other by email or telephone. About five years ago Jim asked me to go to Belgium and buy these French crane machines from an arcade. As I remember, the corne...
