Cresset Pickwick Machine

Topic merged - Site Admin.

Hello Everyone,

I recently found this beautiful Cresset Pickwick machine but I'm not too familiar with them. It came with a few wooden balls but I don't know if they are correct for this game. Any information would be very helpful.

Modern Enterprises? Play Boy

Hello my fellow collectors, A friend of mine just unearthed this interesting coin operated working model in Petaluma California. It takes an English Penny and looks like it's in an old gutted crane/digger cabinet just like a lot of working models. There's a 78rpm record player and another unknown re...

Re: Machines at Aston's (Dudley) on 8th November

I too was interested in this auction. I was up at 2am to watch from California. As an online bidder, I was grateful for the consideration the auction-house provided us. But on the other-hand, I can empathize with the floor bidders and their frustration. I've fantasized about going to a live auction ...

Re: Haydon & Urry THE TIVOLI

Thank you all for your infinite wisdom. That is why this is the best coin-op site on the web. I will try and post a clearer picture of the card. As for the other items found, they're not really worth mentioning.... :D A Caille La Commercial (Ben Hur look-a-like with astrology symbols and fancy casti...

Haydon & Urry Tivoli

Hello Fellow Collectors, I recently acquired a few English Penny Machines and I have a lot of questions. !PUZZLED! The first machine is this wonderful Tivoli coin drop game. When I opened it up there were these cigar trade vouchers that filled the center column. Can anyone date these hard stock trad...

Charles Ahrens "The Executioner" Working Model

Hello Fellow Collectors,

I'm curious to see how many different cabinets Charles Ahrens used in making some of his Working Models. Particularly The Executioner. I recently found this interesting styled cabinet. Has anyone seen this style before? :!?!:

Re: Working Model

Thanks Jingle for bringing us back to the topic. !!THUMBSX2!!

I have yet to see this "Amazing" machine in action and I do not know all of its functions. Fakirs are Indian holy men who possess powers (or you could say magicians), so I assume there's a few tricks being performed.

Thanks Badpenny for your reply. The second photo is a side view. Both sides have the same "Indian Fakir" marquee/sign with the front having the "It's Amazing" sign.

Re: French Horse Race Game

Thank you Coppinpr for the much needed information. I had no idea that it could be that old. I assume that these games only had 1 horse per lane as opposed to others that I've seen with as many as 6 horses per lane. It would be great to see a complete machine to find out what I'm missing. Thanks aga...

Thanks PennyMachines

It's currently going through a complete restoration. It was missing a side door and it had some wood worm damage. I do not know what coin it will accept and I will try and get that information. I will also try and get some more pictures to help with the identification.
