Re: More bloody stupid ebay rules
If you are registered as a business seller your personal eBay address is available for potential buyers so they can't stop contact by that method. Selling costs more though in that it is 10% of the full selling price with no upper limit (personal seller fees are capped at £250). So the selling fees ...

Re: Beware the Elephant House Auctions
Nice to hear that EH are actually sorting out the roof. It had many leaks. It always concerned me that items left there for auction may not be protected from the elements. It would also be a good idea to get some form of heating, if only minimal. I, for one, am put off EH auctions in very cold weath...

Re: Coventry Auction - Sunday 27th November 2016
Well I, for one, was looking forward to the Coventry auction and now I'm torn. Seems like a deliberate attempt by EH to scupper Coventry which already had its date set. Offering sellers the opportunity to sell at no commission must surely be a draw for them so it does seem a but unfair but I suppose...

Re: Elephant House Auctions
What's happening to these auctions? The 24th July is supposed to be Vintage Amusements + Jukeboxes, Americana & Rock-n-Roll Retro. Really? Can't see me driving 100 miles for that stuff. Might as well go to a boot sale.

Re: New Colron wood dye and Nitromors formulas
Nitromors should be reported under the trade descriptions act. That stuff does not strip paint. I took the overpriced rubbish back to B&Q and told them it did not do what it said on the tin. I got a full refund. I have been using Starchem Synstrip available on eBAY. It's an industrial stripper a...

Good point, but there are other things a purist would object to. It's on 2p coins, and it's earthed! Think I'll just enjoy it myself.

Re: Beat The Clock top glass
Thought you guys might be interested in the finished product. A big improvement compared with when I won it at the EH auction. Works perfectly and if you are quick you can get four balls before the clock runs out.

Re: Windows 10
I don't disagree with the anti-MS lobby but mine is quite an old laptop running Windows 7 which of late has been a bit slow. I have to say that I am always wary of upgrading any software because invariably new problems arise. Having upgraded to Windows 10 booting up is much faster and it all seems t...

Re: Windows 10
Thanks for the feedback. I've been testing with Chrome but have resisted 'upgrading' to Windows 10 thus far, so I'm a bit in the dark here. When you tried to log in, what happened? The login button wouldn't operate at all. Also the banners which are now located on the left side of the screen and ap...

Windows 10
Anyone else having problems viewing and logging in to the forum under Windows 10. I just upgraded my laptop and the forum doesn't format properly or let me log in. No problem with any other sites as far as I know. Bloody Microsoft! Good job I bought my wife an IPad. No problems with that.

Re: Coach bolts
Yep that Wilkinsons deal is brilliant. Pick'n'mix a big bag of any sizes of bolts, nuts, washers, wingnuts etc. for £1.99 (I think it was). B&Q charge a quid for just one of those big bolts. Can't resist buying them when I go to Wilko's in case they stop doing them. All metric of course. !!THUMB...
