Re: Jennings Governor escalator help
thanks guys,
it was the new small 5p i was talking about,
i have sussed the escalator bit out with the thickest 5p i can find and got it running smooth through that, my main concern was the slides and chute for the smaller dimensions.

Re: Jennings Governor escalator help
Are the slides etc available to buy ?
Or is it a case of modification of originals?

Re: Jennings Governor escalator help
It is now.
De-gunked, re-greased/oiled and back together.
Whether it's going to work again is a different story.
When I emptied the jackpot, there were a few new 5p coins in there. Would the machine work on the new 5p without any modifications?
Would be great if it did.

Re: Jennings Governor escalator help
Thanks raj, The escalator is moving freely, just not when cranking the machine. I may upload a video sometime today to try and show what I mean. This is the rivet things in the escalator I was talking about. I have however managed to tap them through with a small punch. Just thought I would share fo...

Re: jennings governor escalator help
Found this on ebay completed and mine's exactly the same as this, except mine doesn't work. :( Trying to see where the wires go from the black box, but difficult to tell. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Original-Lighting-Set-Up-For-Jennings-Governor-One-Arm-Armed-Bandit-/200953284828?pt=UK_Video_Games_Coi...

Re: jennings governor escalator help
The mech is working/spinning fine by either putting in a coin or holding the 2 levers. It's just not sliding the coins along when operating the mech. They can be moved along by hand OK by turning the chain. It's got me beat. The escalator looks like it's got 2 pins like rivets next to the 2 screws o...

Re: mills help needed please, parts missing
ah, these will be the Leeds lot from Gumtree that the seller got 'from his granddad'... Yep that's the ones. Governor was all locked up, like said, but fortunately, when opened, it's all complete. :) It's in really good condition as well, apart from the damaged base. They had loads of them when I g...

Re: jennings governor escalator help
Yes mate, had a road-trip down to Leeds - you lot miss nothing lol, Starting to wish I hadn't bothered though. :( Always wanted a Jennings machine and now I got one I hate it already. Been on with it all bloody day and still can't get the escalator to work, although I have paced forward. One of the ...

Re: jennings governor escalator help
Sorry BP
Too much impatience I guess.
Will check for dry grease, but it doesn't seem to attempt to move at all.

Mills help needed please, parts missing
I got this Mills with some other machines and wondered if it would be worth the effort in restoring as it seems to have lots of bits missing, but I do not know what. Does anyone know any info on the machine itself? I have uploaded some photos to try and identify the missing parts and maybe even get ...

Jennings Governor escalator help
This is my first ever Jennings machine and already running into problems. The machine was always on play when I got it and never paid out when winning. I have had to drill the lock off the back to gain access as the previous owner lost the keys. Looking down the coin tube, I can see coins flipped, s...

Jennings lock opening help
Just bought a Jennings Governor without keys.
What's the best and most forgiving way of getting into it?
Also, if I have to damage lock, where's the best place for replacement?

Re: Sega Mad Money escalator coin change over
Thanks mate, I have tried that already but it did not help. The slides were moving out into place OK but were going too far back when paying out, causing the coins to jam until the next pull. There was a lot of free play on the whole mech when it came to rest and you could push the bar in a good 5-6...
