Essex Auto Manufacturing Company Ltd of Southend-on-Sea. Probably supplied by Samson. Made about 1929. I have a similar one called 'Electric Exchange'. Heaps better than Little Stockbroker in my opinion.

£1 does not seem excessive when you consider that an arcade not far from me charged £1.50 and had thought about charging £2 for a Thomas the Tank version. It dispensed plastic capsules, no doubt with updated tat inside. He recently sold the machine as he thought it was a bit tired and outdated.

Mr PM has said that the 'Iris' didn't have a pediment yet on page 66 of the 'Arcadia' book it shows an Iris with pediment, though it is a different style.

The balls in my Saxony three ball reserve, measured with a digital vernier gauge are 13.96 mm/0.549 inch. 9/16 inch is 0.563 decimal.
