Re: Franz kicker

Arrgee - do you have a list of numbers of all the Bryans machines/models built you could post?

I have always wondered how many were built, especially of the rarer models.

cheers

Re: Coventry Auction Sunday 30th November 2014

Looking back I should have bid more on a few of the Bryans machines. I bought 2 of the 3 balls and missed out on the cups when bidding. I went to £1600. They should have stayed together. The Six o' More and Retreever were in fantastic condition. Nice one Bob. I might take you up on that. incoming em...

Re: Coventry Auction Sunday 30th November 2014

Great auction, and the bryans machines were some of the nicest I have ever seen. I managed to buy a few including the Hidden treasure which didn't meet the reserve during the auction. I was the also the top bidder on the Trickler which didn't meet the reserve price. I was expecting to have been offe...

Saffron Walden

I was talking to a fellow collector about the auctions at Saffron Walden back in the '90s. I guess a few of you guys went back in the day. What were they like? This was pre internet days so finding machines out in the wild must have been hard but I guess cheap if you did. How could the average perso...

Re: Just another Allwin deluxe..... But wait a minute.

Thanks for the link to the flyer, PM.

The machine is complete and works fine. The jackpot payout seems to be randomly between 6 and 20 plays, only if the coin holder is full.

Mr Jingle, it's no good for you, it would get lost in your collection.

Just another Allwin deluxe..... But wait a minute.

On my quest for a few machines from an old time collector from the '80s he happens to say he has an Allwin with a jackpot. So, thinking it was another Cracker Jack, I showed little interest. Then I walked past this Allwin deluxe and had to look twice. !OMFG! Has anyone seen one before or know much a...

Bryans Machines - Everything you wanted to know.

Bryans Machines - Everything you wanted to know..... and more I thought I would start a thread about Bryans machines and share our knowledge. Now Melvyn's site is awesome and provides a mass of knowledge and photos but maybe us collectors can clear up some of the mysteries and clear up some of the F...

Re: Where are they now?

I'm still lurking in the background and reading the site everyday. I should contribute more, in fact it can be a early New Year resolution. :) The last time I saw Bryans Jim he was selling off most of his machines. I bought several off him. No idea what Yorkshire Pud is up to these days. He had a cr...

Re: Retreeva

Thanks for the photo Gameswat. I never noticed the serial number in the tray, only the one on the lock panel.

My Retreeva is crackle finish and the bottom part is also crackle, except on the inside area, which is just the standard oak case colour.

Re: Retreeva

Hi Gameswat,

Can you tell me where your serial number is on your Retreeva. Does it have a serial number on the case and the internals? !PUZZLED!

Any chance of a picture of the area were the number is located on the internals?

Or anybody else out there.......

Many Thanks

It is indeed mine. Well may not be for much longer. Hoping to trade for a Payramid.

Or I may pay cash and keep it. !PUZZLED!

Lots of machines today, good old free listing days.

Re: Bryans 110.0

The .0 on any Bryans serial number means it has been back to the factory, most likely for conversion from 1d to 1p.
