I have been searching Google for more information about Testo Reaction Machines (TRM's), but it seems there is so little information out there that this thread on the PennyMachines forum, which I only started a few days ago is already at "No 3" on Google. No's 1 and 2 simply being complete...

Here's the item number 300039976339 and I will have a good look around it when I get it to see if there is a manufacturer's plate.

Seller says it is currently working on 2p pieces but I presume it was pre-decimal. I may convert it back, I don't know yet.

Thanks for the info.

Testo Reaction Meter

Anyone got any experience of Testo Reaction Meters?
testo1.jpg

When were they manufactured, and by whom? Do they have a power source such as a battery? Anyone care to suggest a value?

Any other comments appreciated, as usual!

Yes, I have had a busy weekend for magazines. On Saturday, I received one from Westbrook Pizza and Kebabs. Apparently they are doing a special deal on Meat Feast Pizzas. With every large one you order you receive a FREE 1.5 litre bottle of Coca-Cola. All of their pizzas are made on the premises. Keb...

Wookey Hole has "An American Execution" which depicts a man in an electric chair. As I recall, not much seems to happen other than that a light-bulb in the culprit's head is illuminated after a short delay; and also a machine depicting an execution by hanging, in which the figure is droppe...

No. It seems to me that these flyers are supposed to be the "missing" AAM magazines. I didn't pay £36 for this but have now given up on getting Steve Hunt to honour his side of the deal. Meanwhile I expect to continue receiving a photocopied sheet of A4 paper every fortnight until Steve co...

Ah, got it. It might be better if the OP was "less backward in coming forward" and had included the URL in his post.

I think Mills machines have the same street-cred which a Gottlieb pinball has and a Zaccharia doesn't. They are from the 40's and 50's US of A and have the smell of the Chevrolet and the soda fountain about them. They are pukka Americana. As for the quality of the mechanisms, the Sega is at least as...

To my mind, annoying as the two year 'hicup' has been, better the glimmer of a mag and auction calander than none at all. I paid £36 to read articles about collecting and restoring slot machines, and about amusement park and fairground rides along with photographs etc. I did not pay £36 to receive ...

I have a Mills Hi-Top and a Sega Diamond & Star and they have interchangeable mechanisms. There are some differences in the way in which some parts are cast and machined, and so it is possible to tell the two mechanisms apart by inspection, but either mechanism will fit either machine and work c...

I completely agree, and I too found the letter arrogant and offensive. I am also not interested in the new format- here's a quote "The intention is to produce a very basic advertising medium, similar to how the AAM first started, no time consuming glossy print or fancy articles, just a regular ...

Hello Henrik and welcome in. Can you just clarify something? When you pull the handle down, can you feel strong resistance, as though you were winding up a mechanism, or it the resistance weak as though you were just pulling against a return spring? Could you pull the handle down with one finger onl...

Can't work out why this site isn't busier....

This is a fantastic site, but seems to attract very little traffic. Why? There don't seem to be any other forums of this type, yet there are lots of people interested in slots. What can we do to perk things up a bit?

Yup, that's very nice. Oliver Whales I would say, probably early 1960s Edited to add...... It's the exact same one which is currently up for sale on eBay Austria (look at the wallpaper in the background) item number 6240617096 and it has already attracted a bid of £533 so if anyone has one of these...
