Okay, see the numbers now. Shame that they only go up to 800; 801 is the crucial part, you'll never get it working.

Best advice I can give is to go onto a pinball website and ask if anyone tell you how build one from scratch

Yes, can definitely help you; just put some numbers on and I'll get right back to you. Again, I always prefer that this will lead to lots more questions. Once I've finished with advice on the Rolex we will have a watch so that I can see how much time I spend giving all this advice! :?

Oh please, let me help. Post a picture with a complicated mechanism and put lots of numbers on it. When I reply, please try and think of many, many other questions too.

Hi David, I will to try and answer your questions in turn. However, I think as you start to understand one part, you will find that this raises more questions as to how other actions in the machine occur. So, before I answer the specific questions you raised, here is a basic description of how you c...

I think it has something do to with the law of diminishing returns. Funnily enough, same rule applies to playing slot machines, as I never seem to get back quite what I have put in

I will try and explain. Vertical bar 3 is linked by 10 to the payout handle. However, bar 8 by being against 7 stops the payout handle from moving bar 3 . When a ball enters a winning cup it falls into area 11 and rests upon bar 4 . Bar 4 then tilts and the vertical rod connected from 4 to 8 , cause...

Hi David, maybe this will help you. Using the latest picture of the mechanism you posted on the forum, this is how the mechanism works. On the right of the picture is a bar which runs vertically almost the whole length of the back of the machine. At the bottom of this vertical bar is a link to the p...

Re: Circle Skill and variants

The ball release mechanism should be inside the back of the machine if it follows the vending version.

I don't know anyone who has had an auction entries form nor who can say absolutely that it is on. So I'd think twice before trailing down.

Payramid

Looks like a whole new cabinet and front door to me. Also, the maker has'nt followed correctly the style of either the standard or travelling Payramid cabinet. Looks like there is no beading on the inner frame of the door (can come away, but an added warning in this instance). Hard to tell, but the ...

Absentee bids were not impossible as Steve bought a fair few machines including (apparently) the Greyhound Racer for £1700 on behalf of an absentee bidder 'TW'. So someone must have sent him a fair bit of cash to hold in anticipation of the auction.

Apollo gum vending slot machine

Can anyone tell me anything about this machine? It's an Appollo gum vending slot machine. Who made it, what sort of date is it, were they intended for arcades or corner shops, is it British; basically anything else?

Ruffler & Walker did buy in supplies direct from Bryans (and other manufacturers). They were basically amusement machine distributors and sold machines by various manufacturers, but also appeared to have bought in machines to sell specifically under their name such as two player games including ...

It was pretty much standard to have a different key fitting the cash box. This meant a 'keyman' could get into a machine to clear a jammed coin or correct a mechanism problem without helping himself to too much cash. You will find that allwins also usually have a separate cashbox key.

There's already been a closed off debate about anything to do with all issues associated with the AAM mag situation etc, so there does'nt seem to be much topic here to comment on. Basically a flyer has materialised. So really it's case of take it and use it or don't. :-?
