Re: 50p coins sell for more than their face value due to errors

People are mad. For some reason 50p coins have become a thing for worn out and not that rare coins, all because of hearsay. Reminds me of the supposed rare 20p coin with the wrong year on. They still sell for loads on eBay and were made in their 100,000s... proper rare coins, real collectors collect...

Re: Lord Sega on 3d coinage

I have always assumed that 3D conversions of machines to the 12d payout using two slides and token vendors were after market changes, rather than factory made. Yes you would need a 3D S10, or somehow botch it to fit the coin, so in other words pass through. I have a few S10s but never seen a 3D one....

Re: Sad Story regarding Mr Slot

I have only ordered one item from him, many years ago a Mills slot machine manual, which had been photocopied so many times it was illegible and went in the recycling bin. There have been problems for many years and we have seen people ask questions on this site and more often over the years on the ...

Re: Double Diamond Allwin

Thought I would add a picture of another version a 20 cup giant Allwin of the Double Diamond De luxe. Looks to maybe have lights to indicate the prize selection in the corners. Nice looking machine and was on eBay for £500, then £1000 and then taken off, obviously an off site sale…. https://www.ebay...

Re: Peerless pictures viewers and nix sales fortune teller

Hi there, added the additional pics you shared before. They are certainly projects and, as mentioned before on Facebook, have a look inside the viewers to see if complete and condition, as obviously these machines have been stored somewhere damp. !THUMBS! If you search on this site you will see lots...

Re: Mills hi top

Token awards are not uncommon on Hi tops, but the fill slot on the side is almost certainly an operator modification and certainly not a factory option. You can see the crude tin top part to the gold award mechanism which has been soldered together. As you say, seems like a lot of effort for three t...

Re: Recent purchases

I don’t have a record facility on my TV, but did record on phone. Can’t remember name, it was a NI promo film for tourism filmed in 1959. That channel regularly shows quirky short films including many from BFI…… CA0DCFDE-E290-4D18-8D01-99319D095E3F.jpg The Ruffler and Walker hockey games were defini...

Re: Recent purchases

Well done !!CHEERS!! Wondered who bought them. I was considering a trip like my trip to the Isle of Wight, but then realised Northern Ireland is even more expensive to get to and now with added paperwork. When Once On The Square auctions in Belfast finally put estimates up, I decided I would be mad ...
