Guilt by omission?

Take a look at Ebay-UK item number 260560830036. It is a nice German allwin reserve offered for auction by "Slotpot_123." The partial description reads: "Here is my beautiful 1930's rare oak cased Allwin on old penny play, originally made in Germany and imported to the UK pre war ( he...

For starters, go to Melvyn Wright's wonderful site devoted totally to Bryans games: www.bryans.org.uk
He has the greatest repository of information on Bryans, to my knowledge.
And welcome to the club!

Re: Wow look at 110495253113 e-Bay

Mystery04.jpg This game may have solved a mystery that has stumped me for many years. Here are two photos of a game that sold here on Ebay, purchased by a Brit and returned to England. He was fairly certain it was a BM Co. machine. While not disputing the conclusion, I did not see the traditional B...

Re: e-Bay treasure

Details... only MINOR details. Apparently, the basketball inventor was born in USA-North, a province of the United States just slightly above my frozen state of Minnesota. Back to the game in question. Take a look at the defender, #8. His right hand is attempting to block the shooter. His right arm ...

BP,

Since we Americans invented the game of basketball, I feel uniquely qualified to comment on this machine: What the H*ll is this creature??

Not length, but judging by that hole in the end with the screw-down nut, I'd say it's for diameter.

In the US, we call this a "two-fer," meaning "two for the price of one." Problem is as the above point out, TWO WHAT?? I think that French crane might be one. In this case, "two-fer" describes the quarts of ale this guy consumed just before he wrote the ad.

Goodness; I had no idea there was so little interest in the BUMPERS game. That's good news for me; won't be much competition in the bidding, once I find one. :arrowmunch:

Re: guess the machine??

Wait a minute...Let's examine the facts a little more closely here. 1. Jimmy Cowman has a bat cave. 2. Jimmy Cowman has some type of mysterious machine. 3. Jimmy Cowman hides behind a veil of rural charm. 4. No one has ever seen Jimmy Cowman and Batman together, at the same time, ever! 5. Are you co...

Having already preemptively declared this to be the "DECADE OF LOVE," I feel free to modify and now declare it to be the 'DECADE OF LOVE AND FRIVOLITY!" In such spirit, I am starting a new thread. And yes, the subject headliner is a shameless ploy to draw you in. Here's the premise: A...

Re: Help wanted identifying a couple of machines

Mr. Pennymachines, That was a very erudite explanation of the more subtle dynamics of collecting. I just want to go on record as saying that I am NOT one of the two American collectors Mr. PM referenced, only because my pockets are too shallow. On the bright side, what should I expect to pay for a B...
