Re: Mills Operator Bell identified
The picture posted of the Mills "bullseye" is taken from Jo van Dongen's web site. He lists the machine as "Mills Operators Bell Bulls-Eye." When I first got into collecting slot machines, this model was one of the first slot machines I bought. I thought it was called a "bul...

Re: Mills
The machine you have is a Mills Operator Bell. It has the correct award card frame and award card. The name "bullseye" is a nickname given to it by someone. If you said to an American collector you have a "bullseye bell", they would laugh at you! Dates from the mid to late ...

Re: Elephant House Auctions
Good luck with the repair. I bought some of those ally rods off ebay but not used them yet - the ones that don't use flux. It's a shame your machine has a crack in the casting. Another reason why I would never bid blind from the pictures posted on the Elephant House web site. Details like that would...

Re: Elephant House Auctions
I was keen on the Shooting Star, but the cracked casting on the right frame next to the numbers put me off. Shame, a nice machine otherwise.

Re: Placing 'Absentee bid" at Elephant House auction?
The Mills Melon Front is the same one that came up in the Elephant Auction last year (last one I went to). I was keen on it until I viewed it. Pictures can be very deceiving. I would never buy anything without viewing it first. Have been fooled before.... the Melon Bell, if I remember, had an issue...

Re: Team Breker Auction
There are reproductions of the early Mills Liberty Bells out there. The mech inside the one at the Elephant Auction house is an old mech, but the vertical payout fingers look "newish" to me. Original ones, I think, are different. If it is all original, worth the 5-8k; if repro, then 2-4k; ...

Thanks for the replies. I'll see if I can get hold of one over here. The yanks always seem to charge HUGE amounts for posting items to the UK.

Re: Ebay & Gambling Licence
I remember the jolly boys outing mentioned before. I would not like to commit unless 100% sure I am going. Would like to make a holiday of it. Would not be able to chip in for the container though. Would just like to get a feel for the place first. Back on to the subject of ebay, recently a hard to ...

There used to be a "Roll a Win" game down Barry Island years ago. Used to love playing it! The sound of the "bang" and all the coins flying down the glass towards you after you hit a win was great! Happy days........

Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 Jackpot Tourbillon
Topic merged - Site Admin. You guys have to check out this amazing "vintage" 1945 slot machine. OK, it's a very fancy watch with a slot machine mech in it. You have to see the video of it in action, amazing piece of craftsmanship! I want one but the $625,000 is a bit out of my range.........
