Re: Coventry Auction Sunday 22nd March 2015

I think Coventry depends on whose point of view you are looking at it from. As a buyer I would be happy the way it is currently set up. Not particularly user friendly and not fabulously well advertised. A good opportunity to purchase something without having to bid against a group of people sitting ...

Re: Nestle Vendor

I bought mine about five years ago and paid £800 for it complete. I know of one for sale at the moment that can be had for £895. One was on eBay a few years ago with the bottom ripped off when it was hacked off the wall. I think that went for about £400.00. I have a later Nestle machine with the sam...

I don't think age has anything to do with the metal sign. I have a prototype that has a decal rather than a metal sign on it.

Re: Hi! ...Vending machines?

The Cadbury machines were made pre-decimal, although not too sure about Country Crisp. I've got them on shilling and six pence. As the machines were generally run by Cadbury and not sold to independent operators they were mostly called in and converted over. You can see some machines that have the s...

Re: Hi! ...Vending machines?

There are a number of people I know that collect vending machines but not aware of anyone out there who sells them for a living. Like everything collectable it takes a time to build up sources etc and a lot of trading is done between individuals that know each other. These people are usually unwilli...

Post split, moved & merged - Site Admin.

Hi if you PM me your email address I can send you some pictures of vending mechs. I have over a hundred machines some with very complex ways of working others with very crude ways.

Re: mills extraordinary sweets

You could try the Polos they sell in the Pound Shops. They come in two sizes. I'm guessing the packets of 10 which are the smaller ones would probably fit. Worth a go for a quid.

Re: Blackpool slot museum

I don't know what he is like as a seller but I know he bought a fair bit off me a few years ago when he was trying to get his museum up and running and I never had any problems with payment.

The post on the pinball forum doesn't make for happy reading.

Re: Help with a rather complex coin rejector

Hi I'm sorry I haven't replied. I did get a few minutes to play around with the mech and managed to get a few coins to make the bounce. I'm hoping that permission will be granted tomorrow for a couple of hours more in the shed. Providing of course that the lawn is mowed and the front garden weeded. ...

Re: Help with a rather complex coin rejector

Hello Chaps.. Thanks very much for working so hard on this. I'm not at home at the moment but will try the polished route to see if that assists. My computer skills are about as good as my mechanical ones. So apologies for trying to work out my dilemma by picture alone. The anvil bit in the middle i...

Re: Help with a rather complex coin Rejector.

Thank you for jumping in so quickly. Not really sure what the tag that pokes through actually does other than perhaps direct the coin down the reject route. It's part of the ratchet system and pops out of the way before the coin enters. I'm sure I have the right coins. I have four in total (four col...

Help with a rather complex coin rejector

Hello Good People, I'm hoping someone can help me with a set of coin rejectors I am trying to get working on a Harper vending machine I have. They are the most complex I have ever seen on a vending machine. The coin goes through the slot on the front of the machine and then ratchets a see-saw type m...

Re: Restoration of Coke Machine?

I have had a few of these and have always been lucky with the compressors. They were designed to last for years. Your model is a 39 and is the most common and therefore lots of parts are reproduced. Funtronics is probably the most well known supplier of parts but I have also used sodajerkworks. What...

Harper vending machine four column base

I know it's a huge long-shot but I guess if you don't ask you'll never know.

I'm in the process of cleaning up and restoring a Harper Cigarette machine and as is quite often the case this one is minus the base.

Does anyone have one lurking in a shed or a lock up somewhere.

Thanks

Dave

Re: Groetchen 21

I have one somewhere. Mine was minus the gum ball bits too. There was a chap in the USA about five years ago that was making the parts. I think he has stopped now.

When I get home tonight I'll take some pictures.
He also did the award card (mine was missing that too).
