Re: Coventry Auction Sunday 22nd March 2015

Have to agree it was an excellent and well managed auction and the third one I have attended. Jerry can I please remind you about the missing key to the Shield Catcher that I won. I spoke to you at the end of the auction and apparently someone had walked off with it but at least you knew who it was....

Re: Coventry Auction Sunday 30th November 2014

Excellent, well organised auction, and nice to meet you, Jerry. I spoke to you while you were trying to remove a bent penny from the Answerite machine. Unfortunately the good stuff was beyond my pocket but I did buy the pretty 'Little Wonder' allwin. Didn't spot there were no keys though so it's a l...

Parkers Carousel

Sorry badpenny, my post was supposed to go in the Elephant House thread. My fingers ain't want they used to be. If someone wants to move it please do. Thanks for the response. My interest in this item is that I bought it (or one) at Coventry for £550 which I thought was a sensible price. I moved it ...

Parkers Carousel

Does anyone know if the Parkers Carousel was the one sold at Coventry in November? If not, is someone knocking them out? £1220 is a fair old whack.

EH auction 15th June

Topic merged - Site Admin.

Nobody interested then? There's usually at least one or two comments before the auction. I did notice though that lots 31 and 33 are exactly the same. Maybe everyone is on holiday. !SUN!

Re: Elephant House Auctions

Probably the smallest crowd I've seen there, for a couple of reasons, not many interesting items to fight over (unless you like rusty signs and junk items), but also we were told there had been a huge hold up on the A14 which would have affected anyone coming from that direction. At least it wasn't ...

Re: The Most Impressive Bryans Collection to be offered ever

If Mike Reid sold his record collection to pay a tax bill then they'd slap him with another bill for the money he made selling his records. BP ;-) Good point. I don't know how much he made at that auction in Chiswick but there were thousands of records and a Tempo 1 jukebox that went for more than ...

Re: Elephant House Auctions

Anyone remember the Saffron Walden auctions that used to run twice a year? Lots of records and Rock 'n' Roll memorabilia, jukeboxes and slot machines. Shame they finished. On the subject of paying after the auction. I bought a couple of machines at the last Coventry event. Actually I was impressed b...

Yep, I got that reply twice, too, moonriver, but absolutely no follow up. I won't bother them again. Looking forward to Coventry but that's November, isn't it?

Re: Elephant House Auctions

Might have been a few other items too if they would only respond to my enquiries. What is the point of having a contact service if they can't be bothered to get back. Seems a bit rude to me. There is nothing in their FAQ's related to putting items in the auction. No phone numbers available either. I...

Well I'll be, slotalot..........That's the same machine on your website, before I did a bit of work on it. Did you take that pic at the March auction?

Re: Football Pools themed games

Cor, 12d and 8d payouts on the Fixed Odds machine seem generous. Are there any other allwins that pay out such King's ransoms with a single play? Yep, here's a Whales '9 Results' I bought at the Elephant House in March this year. It has 12d, 8d and 4d payouts. Coins are paid out in 4d doses on turn...
