Re: New addition Bryan’s trickler

Great to have one with actual Australian history.
It's the same in Britain with Lambretta scooters. So many have come in 'late', from Spain and India, that having one that was actually HERE during the Mods & Rockers era, is just a little bit 'special'.

Are the reel strips original?
I've always associated these 'noughts and crosses' reels with rebuilds.
As far back as I can remember, the only original symbols were fruits or numbers, with the occasional deck of cards on Australian 'pokies'.

Re: Shares allwin

I would guess that the machine originally paid 2d out of the tall tube, rather than dump the whole column. It looks long enough to take about 10/- worth, which would eliminate the likelihood of it running short. Other than that, the layout looks simple and ingenious, which is the hallmark of allwin ...

Re: Roto-Pool Manuals with wiring diagram

Great work.
I've dug out my long-neglected BINGOLA.
Looking forward to making some progress. I've only had it twelve years!

Re: Bryan's ant viewer artwork needed

My copy of Avebury's 'Ants Bees and Wasps' arrived this morning, as recommended in the Bryan's instruction leaflet.
If anyone manages to obtain a workable example, I should be able to help with staff recruitment and working conditions!

There's a nice Mills Hi-Top on eBay as we speak. Search for 'One Arm Bandit'.
Takes nickels, but pays out a five-bob token!

Is Henry Powell still there?
Last time I passed-by, they appeared to be building houses on the industrial estate.

Re: Not such a mystery then!!

That's an interesting decimal conversion, isn't it?
It must date from the early '70s, when tanners were still in circulation, but the rest of the coins were either decimal, or re-defined in decimal terms.
It may have survived long enough to be de-converted easily as a collector's item.
