Looks like a Showman revamp to me. Must have been a pretty rough arcade, to have to armour plate your Allwin.

Re: Starting up an auction page on the forum?

I have bought a few things from adverts on Melvyns Collectors Corner. However there is absolutely no protection offered the buyer. It is very much up to the individual to check out the item for sale before handing over £££`s especially "electronically". Having said that I have bought a cou...

Re: "Dog Races" - Uncommonly unique and unknown

I have spent quite some time looking for a patent, but so far no joy. What great pictures of the mechanism by PM. Am I right in thinking that the winner is not random but a pre determined sequence? The disc that gives the winners by allowing the pins to go through the holes appears to rotate on a ra...

Re: "Dog Races" - Uncommonly unique and unknown

My first instinct was British, then I waivered to the US, but then came back to good old blighty. I have discussed this machine with a couple of collectors, and we all have come to the same conclusion, independently. I thought they would have posted by now, but they haven't, so I will. I think it wa...

Re: Big lot - Bandits and Bryans

I must admit I would be cautious of any dealings with the seller on eBay. I notice the Bryans machines are "sold" on Melvyns site but still on offer on eBay? Also why did he make such a big issue of selling the machines as 1 lot and then appears to be accepting bids on single items? I say ...

Re: Ruffler & Walker Allwin List

It is usually the SELLER that cites the rarity value. There was a time that I thought all machines were called rare something or other!!!! A much misused term IMO.
