Re: What is your dream machine?
I would love a single player coin pusher. I found the pushers by Cromptons the most amusing of machines when I was a lad, Crompton Cakewalk and then the later machine called Get Rich where the coins would stack in columns on their sides. If you got a coin to lie flat you would push out about 10 coin...

Re: 285 members ..... Hello! where are you?
I'm here as ever and just made two posts in Questions and Answers. Hi everybody and start posting stuff, don't be bashful. I wouldn't have bought a second bandit if it wasn't for the advice of the gurus on here who got my confidence up with my first bandit, learned a lot, and found the second one a ...

BELL FRUIT BANDIT - GOOD, BAD..or indifferent?
Topic merged - Site Admin. So, there are two of these on ebay, one quite close to me. Item 130252987405 They are electro mechanical by the looks of it, as both on auction are telling the same tale, one not working at all. One not working on the 5 shilling token tube. 1) Right, firstly, are these ea...

Sega Jackpot Mechanism
Dear fellow coin-op addicts, has anybody got a Sega bandit with a jackpot? I was wondering if anybody could get me a photo of the mechanism, how it is attached to the main internals and how the jackpot payout slide is attached? Secondly, if anybody is breaking an old Sega or has a jackpot mechanism ...

Posting ID's
Dear pennymachines, is there any reason why when in a post, there is no URL ID showing in the address box on your browser. Reason being, it would be useful to be able to cut and paste a topic URL within a posts to send to interested people, as well as adding this to your favourites as a separate lin...

Re: Ascot slot
A Swedish crown too - according to Wikipedia this is about 1/2 mill bigger than the UK new ten pence piece so likely to work a treat over here in the UK. I like your machine a lot, it's quirky and although I'm fairly new to this game I can see various elements of it from so many other makes. How eas...

Re: Ascot slot
What a dreadful looking machine, I'll give you a £100 for it ;) Well, it has an extremely clean looking mechanism. I like the green frame  . What coinage are you running it on? What's the purpose of the transformers? Lighting? Has one had a bit of a burnout, it looks blackened in the photo, mo...

Re: museums & collections
Welcome, thats a nice machine and a good descriptive of your time as a youngster. Sounded like mine, a mispent youth allured by the lights, clunks and whirls and pennies flying out. My allowance was 2 shillings a week, or 10 new pence. I used to start off at the arcade on the coin pushers, wait for ...

Re: Conversion to Euros
Thanks for that info pennymachines, that's really interesting. Would you say then, that machines running on 6d were or are more common than a bandit running on an old 1d coin, say? Did any bandits run on an old half penny, silver 3d, or even smaller, the farthing??

Re: Conversion to Euros
I thought about the 3d coin and so far haven't seen a bandit on fleabay for sale on 3d (and I've been looking for a couple of years). Do you think the 3d isn't popular from the point of view that people do like to use their old bandits as a money box on new currency? Both my bandits, the Jubilee and...

Re: Conversion to Euros
A Euro is very thick in depth, I cannot think of any old UK denomination coin that comes close to the thickness of a Euro. You would get away with running a 2 cent coin on a Jubilee mk1 on 6d, without having to hack the machine but payouts would be incorrect. Just stick a bit of card / (vinylays bet...

I can supply you with a 6d denominator badge for your machine and any other parts that you require, however it is not a sega case but a British made copy so would not have a Sega badge on it. Thanks, that would be great i will PM you. So when you say British made copy, is it a Buckhingham machine t...

Re: Old UK slot machine located Picadilly Circus
Great flyer, well done. Basically what they are trying to say is "this machine will fleece your customers in very little time and you will coin it!". Much appreciated, I will try and get down to Pagham and get a video of this machine working which is still in use. The machine is still in o...

Re: Mills / Sega Slots - Why no coin return/reject button ?
Now badpenny, you tease me with why jennings didnt have them either... so what was the reason ?!?! Was it a complete trust in the excellence of their products, or to keep manufacturing prices down, or to keep the arcade attendant busy running about with keys to dislodge jammed coins.. Come on,...

Mills / Sega Slots - Why no coin return/reject button ?
Playing on my jubilee mk1 today, coin gets stuck, i push the coin reject button and joy, works a treat everytime, coin returned..throw coin in the DO NOT USE BIN. Now my sega, when a coin gets stuck, there are two options... give it a gentle thump OUCH.... on the side to dislodge coin into reject tu...

Oh blimey, Hammerite... Well I've learned something new today. I suppose because it was cheap, down and dirty to use, no brush marks and no spraying... I can see the logic in it.
