Re: [Newbie] Looking for replacement wheel for Aristocrat Grosvenor

Aristo... can you tell me if the plastic star wheels and the metal ones are inter-changeable, and for that matter, are the metal reels interchangeable with the clear plastic ones? If so, I MIGHT have spares for both threads.

Re: [Newbie] Looking for replacement wheel for Aristocrat Grosvenor

Strangely we have another thread running with the same problem (well not so strange as these later Nylon star wheels have a habit of becoming brittle). They can be glued (but most likely the rest of the wheel won't last long). You can get them 3d printed (not sure how successful this is) or you can ...

Re: The Paramount Trotters - not seen this before?

They weren't nixie tubes, they were flashing fruit symbols, very sharp and clear cut. I don't know what they were but we have discussed them on here before I think. Some of the best machines of the day used them... This was not one of the best. :NBG:

Re: Aristocrat Starlite - won’t payout

Tom may be right about the 10 limit but it might not be the case. Your machine has had operator changes made over the years and it's left it a bit confused. You can easily check it out. The award card is what causes the confusion; it says "BONUS". This could mean one of three things: it's ...

Re: Mr. Williams Methol Pastilles? Vending machine

I found an old Williams Russian drops tin for sale on ebay and searched back from there. At first I tried the famous Swedish maker Lakerol who makes the things big time today,I thought I might track them back that way and also the big UK maker at the time William Smith Bros but both were definitely ...

Re: Mr. Williams Methol Pastilles? Vending machine

Williams was not a UK company,it was American, J.D. Williams & Bro. was located at 344 Lackawanna Ave in Scranton Pa and they made a range of cough and breathing remedies in the 1920s. I can't find a photo of this product (only similar) , this might be because this product was made for the Scand...

Re: Aristocrat Starlite - won’t payout

Looks very much like you're right about the lineup, all the areas marked "A" below should stop lined up and be held in place by "B" at the end of the cycle. (In my photo I've indicated the edge to the left of the correct position that needs to be moved but it could just as easily...

Re: Finding some nickels

there are several ways of getting coins sent from the USA, but you do need a friend on that side of the pond. Sending single rolls has always worked for me, sending several rolls may well not and the weight pushes the price up quickly (US international postage is very high). Another collector friend...
