Mills (?) - Tura silent - Heros D

Topic merged - site admin. Hi there, TURA was one of the biggest producers of slot machines in the '30s in Germany, located in Leipzig. They started as "C.M.Schwarz" and Mr. Schwarz was the general importer for Jennings machines in Europe. Later, as TURA, they started to build their own m...

Bajazzo Jentzsch & Meerz

...Just finished today, after more than a half year... (indeed not working everyday on this project) This was a wreck - with everything you like to have in a gambling machine - fire-damage, wood worms, water-damage and corrosion... I did take apart every single screw, and finally I am really happy w...

Re: Found Clown penny slot at the tip in 1977

Hi Pennymachines, I saw this wreck on ebay - much too much money for this. Somebody will have a lot of fun with it, as half of the parts are missing. The one-hand Bajazzo is from "Giese & Co. Automatenfabrik Berlin". They invented the one-knob system in 1926 (patent), and they also pro...

Re: Found Clown penny slot at the tip in 1977

Hi Jason, Your catcher looks like a Bajazzo from the '20s. It's no Jentzsch & Meerz, no Schülke. I would guess it is made by Hermann Wollenberg, Berlin, in 1925 or 1926. There are a few parts which are comparable with other Wollenberg machines. (Could also be "Giese & Co., Berlin")...

Re: Scratchbuilt copy of Cascade type game

Hi, Tobias is still active, and you can still buy the necessary parts to build this machine, you can also ask for the construction plan (for free). there was a funny film in a German TV-magazine (local TV) about him and his collection... starting at 13:30 http://www.mdr.de/mediathek/fernsehen/a-z/se...

Re: Domino / Lucky Dice / Le Juge de Paix

Hi le pingouin,

Where do you know from that the ad is from 1912 ?

Pennymachines mentioned that "Le Juge de Paix" was a popular game, do you know the game or rules?

We have cards (applications), dices (wheels) and Domino in the name... very strange.....

Regards Marco.

Re: Domino / Lucky Dice / Le Juge de Paix

Hi, That is very interesting.... It looks quite clear like a conversion from the Omega. The Omega was first introduced in 1929 as "Waren-Automat", and then later called "Omega". Produced by Jentzsch & Meerz. In that time there were a lot of American slots imported, so the Ger...

Re: Domino / Lucky Dice / Le Juge de Paix

Thank you both! A few new parts of the puzzle... I guess Mr.Bignell must have loved the French way of living? Otherwise there should be three hooligans with each a glass of Guinness on the artwork. !!CHEERS!! "The Mexiko" (bottom right of mosaic) is in Berlin. There is also one here in my ...

Re: Airship Catcher

I may not quite understand what it is about... but, the first "airship catcher" (Zeppelin, Parseval) were working with the coin you put in, so you could not convert into clown catcher, as they are working with a ball... Later there were some airship catchers as well working with a ball... ...

Hi jingle, unfortunately I cannot help you, I never saw a chocolate-vendor like this. also in my files i could not find something regarding to this. But usually I am not really interested in vending machines, as I am collecting skill-machines and slots. But, I will ask the one or other collector fri...

Re: Seven mysteries of the Saxony allwin

Hi, There are a lot of mysteries for us German collectors as well, not all is known. We know a lot about the time after 1949, but the years before 1940 is still a little bit foggy... I will try to start with a few answers... 1.Manufacturers The biggest (and the oldest one) was Jentzsch & Meerz L...

Re: German monkey metal grip test ???

Hi Gameswat, What you picked up is a grip-test called "UNIKUM" - (99,9%) made by Jentzsch & Meerz in Leipzig / Germany. You can compare a part of the technic with the "Globus". I am not sure about the age but you might be right with 1928. The Flyer says "three way of gri...
