Re: Slot Magazine History

Hi BP, I’d certainly be interested in the convention formula, they certainly seem popular in the US.

Re: Jubilee / Jupiter

I’ve got the lower door since I took this photo. It all works fine and re sprayed but the glass is the last thing. I’ve digitised it and have a new piece of Perspex and was planning to use water decals to recreate it, but thought I’d see if anyone had one first.

Jubilee / Jupiter

Hi, I have his jubilee machine but unusually it is called a Jupiter International and works on 2 pulls for a sixpence.
My question is has anyone seen this design before and does anyone on here have a replacement front screen, or similar ?
TIA

Re: Boland Black Beauty, Screen Stars, Brooklands, White City...

BP, I understand what you mean by bottoming out but the mech works fine outside the case. It just appears that in the case the handle ‘misses’ the button on the mech. I’m not worrying about it at the moment as I have other machines I’m working on. Thanks for the info on the handle. Just need to find...

Re: Someone's not a collector ?

The Jennings mech is also for sale at the same price as the cabinet. I guess selling like his gets round the eBay rules as neither of them work without the other and separately they don’t constitute a working Marchine.

Re: Boland Black Beauty, Screen Stars, Brooklands, White City...

I have to say BP that there were loads of pennies in the machine and I now have a full collection from Victoria to Elizabeth, thank you. It worked with the first penny but now the handle seems to be missing the mech and not doing anything, but I’m sure that’s a simple fix, when I get round to it. So...

Re: Coventry Auction: Sunday 26th November 2017

I bought the Bally Bulls Eye, never owned one and I’m more of a mechanic than electrician, but for £20, couldn’t resist. Switched it on, it all lights up, pennies go in but handle won’t move. This is one for the future as I have enough mechanical machines to work on at the moment.

Re: BDR payout help please

Maybe everyone at Coventry should have worn name tags with their nom de plume.

Mills Re-Vamp (Boland)

Topic moved & merged - Site Admin.

I picked this up at Coventry this weekend and wondered if the seller was on here and could tell me anything about it, not seen one before. The mech is pretty basic and it's got a fake jackpot, but Im not bothered, I like the look of it.

Someone's not a collector ?

I see two of the items for sale at Coventry have appeared immediately on e-bay at a great mark up

All I can see is 5 pages and no lot numbers, is that correct ? I’ve not seen one of your catalogues before.

Re: How not to sell a machine on ebay

Why would you post the same machine for sale at 5 different prices on 5 separate listings ?

Re: Elephant House Auctions

The Wonders went for £840, the Heureka for £420. Sorry didn’t make a note of the Airship. All plus commission of course. I thought the prices of most of the machines were reasonable compared to the highly inflated prices recently (mainly as a result of two guys who just wanted to outbid for everythi...

Re: Inflation takes hold!

The original seller also had a Mills carcass with the same rubbish behind it. I gathered the seller was a builder who had found these in a property he was either demolishing or renovating. Can't imagine it sold for £700 as there were no bidders at £250.
