Re: Spot the Difference

I'm sure it's only the angle the photos were taken at or a trick of perspective but the in the older photo the building looks much taller and the right hand arch a slightly different shape.

Re: Reel Problem

Ok I survived the garden centre with only one argument with an inept assistant so here's the photo. Slacken off the bolt (circled) and move the wedge out a fraction (arrowed) if you move it too far the mech will become jammed and you'll have to reverse the ratchet that lets the handle return in orde...

Re: Reel Problem

Shouldn't make any difference except that with the handle you get more control especially with a smooth pull. Without the handle it tends to be a bit sharper as you don't have the laws of leverage on your side.

I'm just going out to a garden centre  ........ so I'll do a photo later.........

Re: Reel Problem

Regarding the first issue .............. on the right hand side (facing the mech) just behind the wheel that connects with the arm is the trip arm that tips the axle connected to the resetting arms. It's like a wedge that engages with a semi circular spring loaded catch ........... try loosening off...

Re: Sega Victory Bandit - Some Guidance Needed

Confirming the above the handle release is electro mechanical, I had a similar one called Sailor. It was also on free play and took me ages to sort it out, turned out that the wiring to the light tubes was wound around the wires to the handle release solenoid and a tiny current was being induced acr...

Re: i need advice on this one..please help!

any idea how much its worth and is there any information online about these? Thanks Gary In the past we've tended to shy from valuing machines it's such a contentious subject. Suffice to say one man's wotsit is another's thingy. The mech could be exactly what someone is looking for and the machine ...

Re: Help with jennings governor questions

Back doors appear on ebay now and then, can't say I've ever noticed the cost likewise cash boxes. We may get some in the Coventry auction but won't know until later. It's not uncommon for mech serial numbers not to match the case serial number as they were all whipped out at the end of the season fo...
