Re: Unusual Mills mechanism
I wonder if the seller will part with just the star wheel from that rusty Mills... I need a cog for my rear wheel on the old pushbike, and that cog looks perfect for my bicycle chain to fit!!!!!!!

Elephant House 1st July Auction?
Post merged - Site Admin.
Is it worth the trip to EH next weekend for their auction of goods? It is listed as the 1st July 2018, 1pm on the website. Anyone heard different, or driven past EH to see if building work completed?
Don't fancy a wasted journey on Sunday!

Re: Selling slot machine collection - liable to capital gains?
Mmm something ain't right with this posting. He joins the community to post a single message, somewhat cryptic, he's spent time on research using tax calculator... No response from him, no pictures!!! Without sounding too simple.. would he not just phone tax office and ask the question, it's not roc...

Re: Caille Centre pull Victory Bell in Aberdeen??
LOL... It appears the seller did the rounds and contacted everyone hoping to get big bucks. He made out he knew nothing about it and inherited it. I bought one of these front pull Caille machines 3 years ago for £700 in full working order with all vendor bits too! Good luck if someone paid a grand!!!

...rumours of my demise are greatly exaggerated...lol :HaHa: Apologies to those who have been trying to contact Slot Machine Depot, but as some of you are aware for the past 9 months I've been busy restoring several slots for a private collector, wish I could say which machines as they were all pre-...

Re: Mutoscope Owners
Has anyone seen or held a reel from a Mutoscope? Just wondered if the cards alternate with blank cards? Watching videos of reels playing, it looks as though there is a shorter card behind each picture card? Is this the case or do every card have a picture on?
Cheers for any comments

Re: MutoScope Owners
Bob,
Another question? I'm curious why all Reel cards have that hole below the picture? It does not appear to serve any purpose unless its used to help the alignment during manufacture?
What do you think?

Many thanks Bob for taking the time to do all those measurements, really do appreciate it.
I notice that there's a lack of dedicated forums for MutoScope owners to ask questions and exchange help.
Cheers again

Mutoscope Owners
Hi Guys Does any member on these forums own a Mutoscope of any kind? I'm trying to establish the exact dimensions of the movie reels. Primarily the overall diameter and width. The size of the metal centre hub, size of the small metal peg on centre hub. Also Width of a card, the height of the actual ...

Re: Movie, TV or famous ownership provenance
Will be interesting to see what proof he has in relation to it "actually" being in Fawlty Towers. I've come across many machines that the owner tells me it was once owned by Elton John, it was the one used in a James Bond movie..blah blah blah.. Without any evidence or paperwork to prove t...
