Re: Single Machine Permit - what it looks like

Seems a little hit and miss but I suspect any machines that look worthwhile are getting pulled, selective targeting by someone perhaps?

Re: 10p mechanical coin acceptor

Just to be picky, it's a coin "rejector" you're looking for, not an "acceptor". The compact little box found in the Ballys and all mechanical pinballs are coin rejectors and were pretty much all made by the same firm which I THINK was called ICR Ltd. which stands for "Intern...

I think the bar is a manual payout lock, could be wrong :!?!:
The original blues would be nice but don't go too light on the blue. For my money, light blue always turns out naff.

Here's my last B/star.

Re: Jubilee "Upstairs Downstairs" Questions

Can't really see the payouts from the photos but was wondering, how does it cope with the high payouts if it's all slides? Are there hand filled jackpots? !PUZZLED!

Re: Jubilee "Upstairs Downstairs" Questions

First, can't see why you're having problems with photos, normally it's very easy. Just click the box below your input box, select a photo from your files, upload and place inline. Is there some reason the system is not working for you? Perhaps your membership has not gone through yet and it's restri...

Re: Hi all bought my first bandit

Hi and welcome, I like Sega machines as well, something about that classic bulky shape. Sounds like it has a Shefras escalator fitted either because of the coin it's using (what coin is it on?) or because of the poor reliability of the original. Well worth replacing with the correct escalator if you...

Re: Jubilee "Upstairs Downstairs" Questions

Well, the first thing it needs is lot LESS grease. All the grease needs to come off and be replaced with a very little light oil and NO oil of grease anywhere near the coin slides. Unless someone has the same machine, it's going to be hard for anyone to advise you on the fingers. Your best bet will ...

Re: Elephant House Auctions

It's a bit late, I know, but is anyone going to the Elephant House today? I've had to change my plans and can't go. I'm looking for a Jennings back door at a reasonable price. Anyone prepared to buy for me? I can send money via paypal in advance if needed. Call me on 07530878632 if you can help,
Paul.

Re: Komon Steve horse race help

I'm only guessing because it's so hard to see (more photos please), but I still think your machine had a ball launcher (or a very short billiard cue of about 18" was sometimes used). I think the ball controllers were an attempt to add a skill factor to the ball return. Pace made a much more adv...

Re: Komon Steve horse race help

I've seen something like this before, not coin operated I believe. It's a very interesting bagatelle type game. You're missing the case with the ball push and the ball run up the right side. The balls shoot up the side and randomly fall into different holes moving the relevant horse forward. Part of...

Re: Shipping costs from the U.K. to the U.S.A.

The Parcels Service was hived off several years ago, and calls itself Parcel Force, we call it Parcel Farce. They insist you carry your massive heavy parcel to their out of town depot, and then they carefully spend several days destroying it. To be fair that's not true, the basic parcel force servi...

Re: Single Machine Permit - what it looks like

Raj, I think you're quite wrong. First, we get bumped from ebay because someone is reporting us, ebay have as good as admitted this; second, the rules on owning and selling slots are very old, and outdated. If they are out to stop us, they have been doing it for close to 50 years - nothing new. Ebay...
