Re: Jennings Galaxy

If the BAR is covered by a CHERRY, then the clip will be required to close the NEW hole which was drilled to pay the CHERRY.

Re: Jennings Galaxy

I took FIVE of these clips (and two BUGS) off a Buckley Criss-Cross not long ago.
Each one corresponded to a pasted-on extra lemon, with a high-value payout symbol underneath.
Have a look at the symbol on the reelstrip which corresponds with the blanked-off hole; it will show evidence of tampering.

Re: Fluorescent starters

The new starters will come in a white plastic case. If you carefully bend back the tabs on the original aluminium starters, you will be able to transfer the cases to the new ones.

Re: Hello from Bristol

First thing to do is decide what you want. Are you interested in American pre-war bandits, which are generally seen as 'the real thing', or the sort you might find in 1960s/'70s arcades? Mills is a good place to start , in the first category. In the second, it's either Aristocrat, Jubilee or Bally. ...

Lovely machine.
Did Ruffler's build it, or simply distribute it for Whales?

Re: Win a Spangles... I do like a challenge

Further research appears to prove me wrong. It turns out the 'Spangles' machine may not be modified after all. The example on the Pennymachines site ALSO has two 'LOSE' tubes on the gallery, as well as a 'LOST' hole. If so, I've certainly seen (and played) one. Strange thing, memory. Not to be relie...

Re: Win a Spangles... I do like a challenge

I imagine that some of the more shady operators have, at some time, modified a machine with a 'lost' hole so that it has one or more 'lost' tubes on the gallery, as well. I've never seen one personally. All the ones I've seen have had either one or the other, but not both. I'm wondering how you are ...

Re: Win a Spangles... I do like a challenge

There is either a 'lost' hole, or one or more 'lost' tubes in the gallery.
I can't say I've noticed both, although I imagine itinerant operators have created some.

Like the Challenger, it doubtless gave small boys hours of entertainment watching for a 'grown-up' to walk away from a machine ready to pay out!

Re: Mystery machine

Most Mills 10-stop mechs just had ten symbols not in use. The 'trip' was specifically devised for the Mills Futurity, which offered ten coins returned for ten losers in a row, although some of the Mills Bonus mechs also have it. Tom Boland worked until about 1960, so these could - just- be of his de...

coppinpr wrote: Sun Jan 13, 2019 12:29 pm Well done. **xXx** As for the strips, I can make you new ones, although as Tom says, it's only reel three. How about I make you a part strip to attach to the top of strip three? That's easy.
Are you able to make the overlay 'devil' symbols?

Just to prove once again that I don't know what I'm talking about, I've found a picture of the 'sadly decimal' BFM Action Line with a half-crown accepter!
(One play, plus four tanners change).
Anyone remember it pre-D-day? It's back on my 'wants' list.
