Re: Metal Form Products Co.
Having never used him I can't comment on him... He must be sitting on a pile of stock of his catalogue is anything to go by, surely he wouldn't want that lot lying around. His lack of communication is very different to Dave Berten who emails back very quickly and dispatches items quickly. I've used ...

Re: Spot The Difference
I have done some more digging on the Brown Front and the result of my morning half term work: Brown Front 1938-1944 The Brown Front uses the same cabinet as the Busting Cherry, however its entirely different. Mills called it “dignified, sedate, neat”. It was a very subdued machine; painted in dark b...

Spot The Difference
This isn't exactly what the title states but hopefully it drew you in. I have been doing a bit of research and have found multiple versions and variations of the Mills Bursting Cherry and was wondering if anyone knew what the different names meant in terms of differences between the machines... The ...

Mills Bargain Center
Just come across this on a flyer. If only it was still around. The Bargain Center was an area at the Mills factory in Chicago where rebuilt machines would be resold to the public. All of the machines carried a Mills New Machine Guarantee. Mills were able to provide this due to the extent to which th...

Re: Interesting Mills vendor on ebay
Found this one during a bit of research into it and seems it has the same shape mint vending columns: http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/870665andydotp wrote:The two mint vending columns are correct - though I've only seen the column windows in a diamond shape as opposed to on this one.
It sold for $1800.

Re: Interesting Mills vendor on ebay
Just checked and seen it has been pulled. Not sure if this was due to eBay pulling the auction or a sale arranged outside of eBay... Guess we will never know - could be off to the States with it already being on 10c. I did send the guy some questions and got some answers but nothing in detail... :!?!:

Re: Rant about customs fees!
With this topic being merged I've seen Bent Copper's post about his shipping cost for a Rol-a-top. Could anyone who's shipped from the US share the details of how they did this. i.e. carrier, packaging type, weight, dimensions, etc.

Re: Aristocrat Nevada.
Sorry to put my nose in BP, but as I interpret what you are saying is if you look at the clock (not the one on the wall) there is a rectangular piece of metal. This can get bent, so if you straighten the rectangular piece of metal out it covers a bigger area, thus more air resistance. This means the...

Mills Poinsettia auction
Just watched a Mills Poinsettia with skill stops sell at auction. I wasn't there in person but it was missing its cash tray and maybe locks. It is hard to tell from the pictures, but the mechanism looked weird to me. What is the bit I have circled? Is that something to do with the skill stops??? It ...

This seems to have been doing the rounds - a similar looking machine sold in 2005 for £460 (lot 70):

Re: Mills Jackpot playing up
:dammit: Jackpot main flap now doesn't open, reserve jackpot falls into cash tray and JP payouts is incorrect. Darn! The video below explains my problem. I set the mech to deliver a jp and the main jp door fails to open. As I put the camera where the cash tray was, it shows no coins in but as soon a...

Re: Mills Jackpot playing up
Yes sorry, it seemed weird to me. Maybe tomorrow I'll try to video it to show you guys what I'm talking about. The only theory I have is that the reserve jackpot flap is coming back too far, thus letting some of the coins behind the main jackpot flap and consequently into the cash tray.

Mills Jackpot playing up
Just been trying to sort out my jackpot on a Black Cherry and can't seem to stop the jackpot ditching the reserve money into the cash box instead of the front main jackpot. I have taken some pics and if there is anything wrong or any tips or advice it would really be appreciated.
