What a cracking game! Never seen one working before, so thank you for posting that clip. I think that would be quite addictive.

Re: Coventry Auction: Sunday 26th November 2017
I had a Bally. It was a lovely machine, working perfectly off the full copper 2np coin. For years I tried to get my eldest son to take ownership of it (he is in his thirties now and had been playing that machine for some 25 years). Finally, having bought his first house, he said 'yes'. Into the Land...

Re: Posts disappearing & why a pay area?
£5 per year? I would pay more than that just to read the BP missives! And, occasionally, I read a post that is absolutely spot on and I wish there was a means to simply tick a box saying 'I agree!'. Mr Peterson's thread earlier in this post is an excellent example. Well said, Sir! Now, please explai...

Re: Does anybody ever buy and sell?
You would be well advised to do your own research before committing to importing any machines. Shipping firms might be a good place to look for guidance.

Re: Does anybody ever buy and sell?
I thought "how hard can this be?" Wow, what a minefield. Don't take this as gospel, but this was the closest I could find. (Remember that 20% VAT is added to the sum of what you paid for the machine, plus shipping, plus duty (if any) and there is probably also going to be a handling fee ch...

I gave up on buying bandits after the tenth one so, whilst I plan to someday (perhaps) move on four of them there is one that I will always keep: a Sega Continental. Now I know you (Mr Coppin) are already thinking "that is because you cannot lift the bloody thing" but it really is my favou...

I guess that is the difference between an auction house that accepts internet bids and one that does not.

I'm currently going through a downsizing phase. At first I thought the above was part of the sentence above it about big knobs. then I realized your talking about machines,so we can expect some of your machines for sale at www.penny-machines.info ? Hey, Paul, you getting your websites confused?

£2 coin. Did you know the Royal Mint still makes a small number of thruppences? Something to do with them being needed as part of Maundy Money sets. Once we get through this Brexit business, maybe we can have a referendum on returning to a currency based on £-s-d? That will challenge the digital gen...

I like a bit of "captive coupling" on the right day !OMFG! Is that not just another name for 'marriage'? By the way, I have absolutely no knowledge of the electrickery stuff, so am unable to provide constructive comment. My apologies to radiochrissie. I hope you find the part you n...

Re: Mills wing nut gone missing
Now if you had a rare earth magnet (every workshop should have one, will cost you about £10 for a good one or salvage one from an old micro wave) fixed to a handle and moved around like a metal detector over the whole area it will find every pin, screw, nut, bolt bolt and metal filing you ever lost ...

Re: What screw size was used for the Mills Escalator
I wasn't recommending it, Paul. Merely confirming that these things are out there and offering it as an example of one such product. At the other end of the scale, there is also a product costing less than £8. It is highly rated in the reviews, but looks a bit flimsy....

Re: What screw size was used for the Mills Escalator
I would love to get hold of a template for testing screw sizes and types, the amount of times I have bought expensive bags of the damn things only to find the wrong size They are out there Treefrog. For example: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bolt-Thread-Fastener-Gauge-Line/dp/B01NCANLCK/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3...

I agree with Widget, I'd have bid more if I had his sandblaster. I'm trying to set up a baking soda blaster but I don't have anywhere that can handle the mess. :#: Good call, Paul. The one and only time I used my soda blaster was when sprucing up my Novomat (I started on this with a view to learnin...

Re: Isle of Wight Shanklin sale
I live within sight of the IoW and even have my own boat to get there. Forgot completely about this auction! Having read some of the feedback, though, I am quite pleased I did as the two machines I would have been interested in sound like they were duds.
