Re: Seriously?
Yeah, thank you. That is exactly how I remember it. Does that mean the stripy flash was on all later machines? I have seen a lot of refurbs using the stripy flash on all sorts of machines and find it confusing which flash would have originally gone with which machine. It would have made better sense...

Re: Seriously?
Hi, I have been searching the web for old pics of the ten cup, and most of them have the stripey back-flash. I seem to remember as a child seeing some that had a different back-flash. Am I mistaken?, does anyone have a pic of a really old one? Thanks, Mei-mei

Re: Bradley Challenger Name Plates
Hi, thanks for the heads up. I have emailed the guy who makes up the plates and will let you know if I get any response. I don't think my skills run to the efforts of the other guy, so will keep my fingers crossed. Mei-mei

Re: Kick Him in the Panzas
Hi, just got back from my uncles and it would look as though you might be right. As I understand it, the machine appeared in the pub sometime around Feb 46 and not 41 as I had first thought. For the first week it was a great success as it paid out sometimes as many as 5 x pennys at a time. By the en...

Re: 1929 Bradley Challenger
Thanks for the pics. Is that pretty typical to all older machines? On the one I have there seems to be a split just above the cash box, mind you there have been so many alterations to it, I thought it was something else to begin with

Re: Kick Him in the Panzas
Yeah this is part of the reason I am going to see my uncle. Following a short conversation on the phone, he mentioned that there was some controversy surrounding this machine, and dad had pulled it from the pub to try to resolve this. Unfortunately my father has dementure and only remembers certain ...

Re: Kick Him in the Panzas
Home earlier than expected so as promised I have attached pics of the front and back of the damaged original. Pic one is the top part with the pin holes in it and you can just make out the image. A soldiers cap just right of top centre and a hand out to the right. Pic 2 the reverse of pic one. Pic 3...
