Re: Tumbling-in

Hi All, Made the Tumbling-in over winter. A bit of a nightmare - had so many problems with the centre disc, especially drilling the pin holes. The first one I painted up, drilled the centre hole - this cracked the circle in half. Some of the plastic would not drill right. I even used a hot nail to s...

Early stage of build

Just finished this machine before the lock down, called Tumbling-in.
Great fun to play. Don't think it will be going out this year as nearly all our shows have been cancelled.

Re: Gold Mine - Winter project

Hi All, A season out with the Gold Mine. Our first few shows people didn't think they could win on it but after we showed them how to win on it we couldn't keep them off of it. The only problem is they say they have won when they haven't just to get a coin. One of our bank holidays it had over £39 po...

Re: Bryans Bumper flyer

I have looked at Melvyn's but the pictures are very poor. I had a photocopy of the mech about 20 years ago. There are stories that it was a great machine to play on but very easy to win, that's why that were not very successful & only a few made. Pete.

Hi
It was Poz who had one stolen - they broke into his bus through the roof. That was the only machine they took. Pete.

Re: Gold Mine - Winter project

Hi all, What a Gold Mine, have attended 8 fetes & shows so far this year. Our customers really loved the Gold Mine, young & old. Last Sunday was one of the busiest days we have ever had in 22 years, we never sat down from 10.30 until 4.30. The Gold Mine is by far my best money taker. Didn't ...

Re: Gold Mine - Winter project

Hi The slots on the side only pay one, they seem quite hard to get but as the coin rolls along the table the table tilts to either side & the coin just rolls in. I find it very easy to win on. I have put a clip on Utube Pete.

Re: The Repair Shop BBC 1

Hi all,all that effort & did not clean the glass at the front. They are terrible machines to operate, customers always try & pull the handle down before the coin goes into the mech. It looks like it may have been used in a club or hotel Pete.

Hi all. Finally got the Gold Mine on the arcade, great fun to play. We had to film it without the glass as the sun was reflecting off of it.

Re: The Repair Shop BBC 1

Hi all, The Win and Place had been in the workshop for some time. It was on the floor at the back. I think he made a good job of it. Sadly, the ball hammer won't last five minutes. I have tried soldering them in - they don't last long.
Pete.

Re: Metal footballers, from a machine?

Hi The footballers were used on a fairground stall. The player put a penny on the slope, pulled back his leg and let go. If the penny landed onto a square you would win anything from two to six; if the penny hit on a line you lost. I converted one of these a couple of years ago to make the footballe...

Re: Gold Mine - Winter project

Hi all, just a few problems... Got all the wiring nice and neat, used one of the press on terminal blocks - bad mistake - it melted. This lead to the solenoid being burnt out. Got it all back together again and let the grand kiddies have a go. I gave them about 100 coins each, they had great fun. Th...

Hi Martin, welcome to the forum, would love to see a photo of the Pyramid. I think the Pyramid is one of my favourite games. Was it originally on one old penny? Pete.
