Re: BMCo. UK to US and back again!!!
I have waded through the Hansard reference to the Gaming Bill a number of times before but it is a debate rather than the bill itself which can be seen at 'Gaming act 1968 Legislation.gov.uk chapter 65 part 3 section 26 with relevance to slot machines. Some time ago I gave up looking for the 1960 ac...

Re: BMCo. UK to US and back again!!!

As BMCo didn't survive www2 and their allwins were made mostly in the 1930s perhaps the facility for a free ball after a win was there in anticipation of a relaxing of the law. Or as you suggest, a 'suck and see' attitude of the operator and gauge which way gives us th...

Re: BMCo. UK to US and back again!!!
Regarding the internal photo of the above BMCo allwin machine, there is a silver coloured slidey gizmo under the ball win lever. This can be pushed in one position to allow a free ball after a win and another position to divert the ball back to the start position so as to make it penny return only. ...

Re: Pot Luck Allwin problem
A couple of observations in addition to TFs most likely cause. Where your arrow number 2 is pointing, beneath and attached to the slotted screw there should be a piece much like the upper part which has a spring attached. It is all one piece, but your lower part looks broken. Not likely to fix your ...

Re: R&W What's my line
Hi Luc and welcome to the site. There is also a good video on Youtube posted by 'slot machines' called 'Ruffler and Walker allwin Fill Em Up slot machine'. This is the same as your machine except the artwork. It gives a detailed description of the workings.

A rather nice floor standing strength tester on The repair shop BBC one 13/14 today. Paperwork dial shows A. Rowland and son and Improved strength test company, Cannon street on the cast iron body. Should become available on i player.

I ordered some springs from Mr Slot last year and despite taking three weeks from dispatch going to various places in USA then Japan they arrived safely. Sounds like I was lucky.

Oliver Whales 'Playball' circa 1956. Try inputting the word playball in the search box [ near the log in box], there is much information there particularly by 'pennymachines' on June 13th 2013 including a link to a nice example by forum member 'terry'.
