This is a closer look at the wear in the backflash, my choice is to replace it.

Hi TF, I did think that myself but the barrel in my machine has a head diameter of 18.7mm and the replacements are all 16mm.

I’ve looked through the previous threads but can’t see what I’m looking for.

Is there a suitable source or replacement for the Bell cascade locks ? The lock is out, I just need either a key or a new barrel.

That seems to go against what I understood. I thought Steve just accepted the highest bid. If the seller gets to choose to accept or reject the highest bid, then surely any lowball bids would never get accepted ?

Something I’ve been wondering about and, I’m sure some of our older collectors will help me with, is were there ever inspections of the operators and their machines to make sure they were not fiddling the payouts? With stories about payout fingers being removed and award disk holes being filled up, ...

I put it into an ultrasonic cleaner which removed every bit of paint/ink, then under a microscope with a very fine brush added the paints back onto the plate. I used Tamiya lacquer paint.

Well, I gave it a go and I’m pretty happy with the result.

I’m sure most of us have alerts on all the web auction sites as well as eBay and marketplace, so hopefully they turn up. They may just try to sell them to some antique shop ?
