Re: Looking for a display plinth/podium for one armed bandit
The Bonus I bought at the EH auction just last month only pays 5 coins on the cherry lemon or cherry bell combinations and is 20 stop mech. Therefore, BPs Bonus with ten stops and the cheating part on the first reel is very unusual!! you should had bought the previous one as that had the cheating m...

Mills Extraordinary Question
Can anyone give my any info on this extrordinary console i have had for some time now?? The console looks original but lacks the fluted base like the US consoles have? It runs on quarters but has a later high top award plaque and the fruits on the strips do not look like standard mills symbols, the ...

Ha I have a couple of those magnets, but not as big as yours!! You are right, they are dangerous. I keep mine apart with three beer mats, I used too keep them apart with just one, but i let em snap together one with just one mat and the tip of my finger by accident, a blood blister graced that finge...

Re: Morphy Las Vegas Auction
I don't even bother checking eBay USA because if the chatter on the Stateside forums is to be believed there's quite an industry in forgeries and fakes. If the experts are getting confuddled by what they're looking at, what chance would I stand? BP Yes I believe everything from a war eagle to a rol...

Re: Mills Golden Falls
While cleaning out the workshop about a month ago it occurred to me that I had pretty much all the parts to make up a Golden Falls. They were all different colours, badly chipped or simply very dirty but I thought Id give it a go. Almost finished now, just the jackpot and reel window glass to be fit...

Re: Morphy Las Vegas Auction
Thanks for the responses. There's so many to choose from all in one place and no doubt my preferences would change if I were there. I was looking at a Mills cowboy High Top - the one with the horse shoe panel, no jackpot, but I also have seen others which I like. It's great if you can take home a c...

Re: Elephant House Auctions
In the EH on the 20th This item is described as having all original paint, yeah, right! If this is the original paint, I will eat my hat! Its the wrong shade for a start , these were a lighter orange colour You can clearly see the wavy lines where the blue meets the red on the bottom casting. This h...

Thats just what I was thinking, does Steve realize its Fathers Day?
I would love to bid on the Mills Futurity but not willing to chance it without viewing and Fathers day means Family get together for me otherwise I would have been there!

Mills Extraordinary reel strips look different??
Hello Can any one shed any light on these strips, this is a restored machine on US 25 cent and the cherries and bells look very different to those on all the Mills that I have seen from the period. I resisted the temptation to replace them is they are in good nick. Also note the larger award plaque ...

Jennings machine stamped L MILLS inside??
Here we have a Jennings 5 cent Today Vender (serial 3344) which I picked up here in the UK which appears to be totally original except for the repaint.
Any Ideas where the L. MILLS branding may have originated from??
