Re: Temple’s Penny Arcade Trailer Project

Hi folks, I have updated the Calendar with a number of events that I will be bringing the arcade to throughout the rest of this year. It will be great to meet some of you so if you are attending come and say hi or drop me a message in advance.

Re: Temple’s Penny Arcade Trailer Project

Elvaston's only a couple of miles up the road from me. I didn't go this year. Would've done if I'd known you were there. Sorry we missed you. To be honest the event was a bit of a wash out; poor attendance plus rubbish weather did not lead to the necessity of emptying cash boxes. :-) I will let you...

Many of us are likely to have grand kids that have never seen some of your other novelties.

Put in the Calender when and where you'll be displaying your Organ, hammering your Striker and Punching Judy.
Happy to do this if it's ok with you folks. :-)

Re: Temple’s Penny Arcade Trailer Project

Looking fantastic !!THUMBSX2!! Now here is a controversial question. I notice half the machines you now have are bandits and I know you have dabbled with different machines… are they good money takers? I only ask as I always wonder whether today's kids and youth can relate less to more obscure skil...

Re: Temple’s Penny Arcade Trailer Project

The Penny Arcade is out 6 times this summer at steam fairs and private events. Here are a few pics of it at Elvaston Steam Rally earlier this month.

Re: New Sega Diamond 3 Star on Old Penny Resto

So work is progressing. I wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of finding one of these old 1D coin denominators. I know there are resin smaller versions on eBay etc but would like to find something a bit more “correct” before I go down that route :-)

Re: Coin operated cranes and diggers

Cheers for the info. It was part of a job lot I acquired some time ago. I have been looking for a crane for some time and was told there was one in bits in the lot I acquired, this was it! Still looking for a table top crane. 😂

Re: Coin operated cranes and diggers

Great update, always fancied a mechanical table top crane but not seen one available as of yet.

I have a few crane “bits” in the garage. Will post them on here and see if you know what they are from… other than a crane. :-)

It certainly looks like an altered Whales cabinet. The exterior metal furnishings look correct too.

Not gone mad with it as I do...

Hope this post is allowed…..the Octopus is for sale on EBay and I have had a few people asking why its for sale and as most asking are members here, I thought I would update this post with an explanation. I have decided that the style of my arcade is to be mechanical machines. As the Octopus is elec...

Really pleased to hear that chaps and quite agree with our esteemed member John and his comments regarding those hand-held devices. If I had the time and mobile facility I would love to do this. Presumably you need to have public liability cover? Yes, this is on my showman’s insurance to cover publ...

Re: New Sega Diamond 3 Star on Old Penny Resto

Thanks Treefrog. It’s a bit of a dilemma to be honest. The base slide (with the 90 degree upright bit) is not tall enough to push all of the slides forward. I am happy to have a go at sourcing replacement slides etc. but where to start..? Failing that, I can as you say, adapt it. I need to source th...

New Sega Diamond 3 Star on Old Penny Resto

So, this is the latest resto project destined to join the Penny Arcade. It was on 2p, I have removed the sleeve and also the screws in the coin entry that were blocking larger coinage. After a clean and degrease the mech is working fine. I am struggling to make sense of the payout though. In the abs...
