Re: Stevenson & Lovett Swing It

I should imagine given the size of the steering wheel the playfield would get a lot of abuse from being banged to either side limits unless it had a clutch arrangement or something like the upright steer a coins.

Re: Working model?

no, nothing to do with a part from an original working model. Homemade piece, although you could adapt it into something and put it into a cabinet. Modern, non moving fortune teller prop in cabinet sold for £320 at EH recently and straight onto eBay at £1000. Probably not worth the effort building a...

Re: Haworth's of Blackpool

Very interesting challenge. I remember liking the Winaway as soon as I saw it. I have an original plaster Haworth laughing clown game and some paperwork that states the maker as H. Haworth, 638 Lytham Road, Blackpool. Patent 366761. Reg 762430. So maybe another address to research. Apparently they w...

Re: What is it about vintage arcade machines that attracts us exactly?

...early JPM machines. MK 1 Nudge Double UP , MK 1 Each Way Nudger, Lucky 2's, Nudge Gambler and Double Shuffle are now all equally as collectable for the early processor machine collectors as the mechanical machine collectors. All of these models are much the same price as a high end Allwin. More ...

Re: Bryans Penny-Go-Round flyer

Yes, there are some around, the last one I remember selling from Arreton Barns. As with all the best games looks like you can't possibly lose! Nice and compact for a pusher. I think some made on old penny and new penny.

It's a great game and the sound of the ball falling is quite pleasing. I don't know why it wasn't designed to pay out though?

I wonder how long the Green Ray at Wookey Hole has been there or if it is a recent acquisition? The artwork reminded me of the same on a VERY expensive one for sale in the US last year.

Re: Someone's not a collector ?

"betting shops that rely on slots" are not amusement arcades. The internet 'report' you refer to is well known in the amusement industry and ridiculed as being so far out of touch with reality that it is a running joke. General searches pull it up frequently. I don't need to "check ou...
