Skill?

Merry Christmas and happy new year to one and all. With out offending anybody you seem to have lost the plot who cares if some machines are easy to win on as most machines are now in collectors hands. I have a Bryans uwin that my kids empty on as regular basis I can not see how this was a viable mac...

Amazing machines are these wondermatics I had a copper droppa that used to scare the kids to death when it paid out. Looks like you've a microswitch missing that operates the payout solenoid. P.s. remember to unplug the bugger when working on it 240 volts makes you jump.

The guest makes a few valid points about machines that don't exist and bids made after the hammer and then seems to go off on a tangent and lose the plot completely. We have all been to auctions where the afore mentioned things have happened but in my opinion the people involved in this auction appe...

The first machine I ever bought was a Novamat I gave £20 for it and had a major argument with the fiancé as she was then. As you say, the veneer is problematical - it falls off at random. I remember chiselling it off the front of the case on the breakfast bar in my new house. It's a wonder she ever ...

New machine in the arcade

Hi Mr. Pennymachines how about a new machine in the arcade?
How about a Bryans windmill or a Bryans waterfall as i've never seen either.

Lock pictures

I was curious to see if I had any locks left. Here's what I found. The lock on the right I have no key for is the right length of 1/2", no longer availiable. The lock on the right is the 6mm barrel. I don't have any of the longer 16mm locks left, hence no picture.

Re: Bryans Locks

Lowe & Fletcher locker locks are availiable in two lengths 6 & 16mm neither are the correct length for Bryans Machines but both can be used. On the 6mm barrel the key almost fouls the door. On the 16mm barrel the lock is proud of the door. As far as I am aware they are still availiable from ...

John Hanson tried it but prior to his 2nd or 3rd auction someone (I have my suspicions) rung the auction venue saying that they were from the gaming board and if the auction took place the machines would be seized as he did not have a gaming license. The license being a ridiculous amount and the mag...

Early Bryans Clock Lock

I am in the process of restoring an early clock with the back door. Easy question really not having a back door, was it fitted with a yale lock (the type with the square bezel) or the lowe & fletcher type (locker lock) with the flat key?

I had one myself for a short period of time but sold it on. The only thing I remember is that the one I had did not have a coin box underneath. I sold mine for £65. Yours looks tidier than mine. :D
