Slots Parts Provider

Post by treefrog »

Not really a discovery, but should be added to the links pages. Unless anyone knows different, Tom Krahl appears to have retired or stopped trading useful bandit spares from the States, which is a shame. I did get a lead for an alternative supplier, a very similar family owned business in Illinois: the Berten family, run by a Bernie Berten who passed away and handed the business on to his son David.

They do all the spares Tom Krahl did, as well as custom work, including custom castings (may be useful for other machines), silk-screening etc., etc., as well as supplies for stimulators, vendors and pinballs....

There is a crude online catalog and the site is basic. Anyone used them before, as I will be trying them soon and will give feedback if no-one else has?

I have used them, they are great.
They will send you a catalog full of spares for bandits if you ask them.
They don't do any spares for English machines though and as this site is biased towards English machines it will probably only benefit the minority on here :(

Not sure I agree with you there Nigel, I'd have thought that most of us have either owned, restored or had an interest in Yankee machines. Coventry would certainly indicate so.

Let's ask the membership, how many of you out there; regardless of your main interest or penchant towards Bryans or whatever, would point blank refuse to cross the road to have a shufty at an American slot machine? :didact:

Let's put it to a vote: The type of machines we like most...
P.s. I've updated the Services link - the now defunct Krahl Klassic Antiques link is replaced by MRSLOT1.com.

I had the opportunity to visit Dave Berten in Chicago !
Dave is a very professional and reliable person who will always do the best to satisfy the customers. !THUMBS!

I guess if the website was improved he will probably be the world number one for slot machine parts !!

I had heard after posting this 3 years ago, he never went, just he was less visible, e.g. main number not available and website down.... I agree pdf'ing your catalogue is easier to read.
