WANTED
Hello, I am 15 and I am getting interested in this British penny machine hobby. Do any of you have any machines (preferably Pinball-related OR Payout) that you would like to sell, and that you could ship to the U.S.? Thanks!

Re: WANTED
G'day from Australia Aidan and welcome to the site.
I am in the same boat as you and find shipping costs to be very expensive. Keep an eye out on ebay (USA) - you'll be pleasantly surprised how many British machines ended up over your way.
Also, be mindful of the legality of ownership of anything coin-op as the states have differing laws..
Cheers,
andydotp.

Re: WANTED
Hello, Andy. I am well aware of the legal issues that go along with these machines, although luckily for me I live in New York, where these things are perfectly legal.
Re: WANTED
Hi again mate,
You're lucky, a friend of mine lives in a 'restricted' state but loves coin-ops..

Re: WANTED
Hi afkeyboard ....
Have you any machines of your own?
As you probably realise when it comes to pinball most of those in Europe are either American imports or made under American licence. Obviously moving something like that is mega costly.
We have a couple of members to this forum who are experts in British machines and live your side of the Atlantic who could best advise you on the action for British machines in America. I dare say one of them will be along at some point.
As Andy has already said a lot of our machines did end up over there. I am still amazed at how many there are and have shipped back one or two myself. The cheapest and probably safest way to do this is to get to know someone who regularly moves containers and rent a tiny bit of space in one.
Best of luck

Re: WANTED
Hello Aidan,
I am one of the Yanks who collects British coin op and I too would like to welcome you to this zany community.
If you want to find a British arcade game that payouts out in coin of the realm, you need look no further than our own Ebay. British machines show up on Ebay-US with surprising irregularity. I would suggest that you start with an allwin. The mechanisms are quite simple and they are fun to play. It's also quite easy to find the old British big penny coins (1D) they use. Keep your eye peeled in the two categories of "arcade, jukeboxes & pinball" and "casino" with attention to "trade stimulators." Be patient; it may take a while but you will be rewarded with a game that introduces you to entertainment from kinder, gentler times as well as the camaraderie of kindred souls who pursue them. Good luck and keep us apprised of your progress.
Kind regards,

Re: WANTED
Here's a British Allwin type game on eBay US at the moment. Which will probably go as lot cheaper there than here without the huge shipping cost

Re: WANTED
Thanks for the link! The thing is, i tend to only consider Buy It Now listings, because then i have assurance that the item will be MINE!
