Oliver Whales Allwin

Post by brianandpat »

This is my Xmas present to myself. Always wanted a machine. It pays out 32G Rowntrees Gums, but they are hard to find as the new size is 48G. There is some slight paint missing but I am happy with the face.

That's a nice looking machine, I'll try to get round to have a look sometime if I can.

I think people with similar machines generally buy whatever size pack of fruit gums are available and then take some out so they fit.

What is the road in that photograph?

The road in the photo is Warwick Rd., Cliftonville Kent. It's the road we live in taken about 1955.

This is a lovely looking machine, how scarce is this type of O.W. machine, ie sweet pay-out allwin?

They are certainly becoming rarer. If you want one, look for it now because it sure as hell won't be cheaper five years down the line.
