Hey guys thought some of you might like to see what I've done to my Hi Ball game?

Not sure of its age or who made it but I love it anyway.

A great looking machine and very well restored

This is the only basketball machine I know of working on the same principle, its not a patch on yours.

I don't know whether these were originally in painted cases, but it looks much better varnished, contrasting well with the colourful game graphics.
A version called Victory Professional Basket Ball Game was sold at Morphy Auctions in January last year, described as "circa 1950 by Victor Vending Corp." However, in the Billboard, 1950 it's advertised by Parkway Machine Corporation.

Yeah I'm pretty certain it was originally painted red. After sanding the 50 years of repainted off the cabinet I got to a red with grey primer that was under every part unlike the rest of the coats.

I figured I'd try the varnish if it looks crap red would be easy.

The artwork is very similar but completely different on the victory one mine has some white black guys from Harlem on it. I'll take a closer photo next time I'm in the shed.

I'm guessing yours is a reference to the famous Harlem Globetrotters basketball exhibition team. Just last week I saw that Melonard Lemon, their biggest star who played for them for over 20 years died aged over 80.

On page 104 of the copy of Billboard that Mr PM has linked above there is an identical machine but with a baseball themed backflash called 'Hit-A-Homer' and made by the ABCO Novelty Co of Chicago.

You can attach anything as an image.
If you can see it on your screen you can save it as an image.

First get the item you want view-able on your screen. Then press the button on the top line of your keyboard marked "prt sc" (print screen) that image is now saved to your clipboard and will stay there until you either use it or turn your pc off.
To use it open an imaging application. If you're using Windows (any version) then MS Paint will do fine. Paste or click Ctrl +V. You will now see what you copied and can edit as you wish. All I did was crop out the bit of the page I wanted, saved it and then pasted it here.

And on page 113, after the coin-op TVs (25 Cents for half an hour's viewing) is another Victory Basketball, this time from Victor Vending Corporation.

These basket ball themed gum vendors (currently on ebay US) seem to be Victor Vending Corporation's main product.
