Gumball vendor

Post by badpenny »

Although I don't go mad over them this one caught my eye.
I think my unenthusiasm centres around their ready availability new with lashings of chromed plastic.

I guess like most of us I started collecting machines from my childhood and regardless of what's grabbing my attention at any time I can always be lured by a childhood memory.

I think some domed nuts for the six bolts protruding on the front will do the trick.

ps I have opened the first piccy in every type of photo editing suite I have and saved it as a portrait image but still it goes sideways !PUZZLED!

Nice gum ball machine BP, dont know if it has a name on it but its a "Victor,Topper, half cabinet" about 1950. They made a later version that had to be dis continued as it was considered a gambling machine because you could see the colour of the next gum ball in line for payout!

Victor made just about the best looking of all gumball machines, the one below is my favorite

some of their machines bordered on the slot machine rather than gum ball vendor
