Lucky Duck Fortune Teller
Lucky Duck Fortune Teller
Saw this in Fairbanks Alaska. Looks like the duck was out of 'luck' and could have used a fortune teller to inform him of his impending doom - destined to spend his eternity in a wood and glass case. I did not see any makers name on the case but it seemed to have some age.

The glass case makes it easier for Sarah Palin to "bag another" Alaskan predator.

If eider spotted this across the pond, I wouldn' t preen. Let's not duck the issue, it's quackers. Whoever hatched it was puddled and should get the bird for such fowl dabbling.
Re: Lucky Duck Fortune Teller
unfortunately no age at all, modern reproduction done with no taste or style whatsoever, America awash with these. Sad when you think of some of the great ones Mills used to make.

As the famous columnist and critic, H L Mencken once said, (slightly modified,) "You'll never go broke underestimating the taste of the American public."

What the hell were you doing in Alaska....I am guessing not machine hunting as you would only find diggers up there
Re: Lucky Duck Fortune Teller
We wanted a different sort of holiday this year, have to say though Alaska is nothing like America - no neon signs, billboards, or 'in-your-face' advertising. Interestingly when I asked people how they saw themselves, every time they said they were 'Alaskan' not American. Can't knock that as I always say I am from England and not Britain or UK.treefrog wrote:What the hell were you doing in Alaska....
Great place to visit. Not too cold at the moment and 22 hours of daylight in which to see it all.
