Mills 'Electricity is Life' shocker

Post by ddstoys »

Hey guys thought I'd share my shocker that just arrived from the States. Haven't spent any time with it yet, was hoping to leave it original but that's not looking good at the moment sadly - the paint's just rubbing off. But oh well.

Looks awesome as it is! Clean it delicately and leave it be is my suggestion. You can always repaint it in the future but you can never go back, some wax will do wonders. I know you have much bigger fish to fry, fight the important battles. There are lots of machines I planned to cosmetically restore in some way or another but never got around to quickly, and thankfully I didn't because the patina grew on me and now I can't imagine them any other way. So far only one machine that I was on the fence about and left alone for years eventually bothered me enough that I refinished the outer cabinet. But at least 10 have won me over.

I won't be rushing into it mate. Like you say, plenty of projects in need of attention first.

I've managed to get it working. Still needs some adjusting.
