Correct name for bandit part

Every time we mention this part we dance around the name, not knowing quite what it's called, "dog and cog"? "dog and anvil"? Today I was looking through the Slot Machines of Yesteryear (below) which, for those who don't know of it, is a remarkable book of reproductions of adverts, instruction sheets, parts lists etc.
I came across a reproduction of a 1930s "General Instructions" leaflet for Mills bandits. In the section on how to adjust the timing it mentions that the "dog" is lifted by the "operating Fork Stop Pin", part number 82. I then turned to the parts and prices list and you could buy part MLB 82 operating fork stop pin for just 10c (but the minimum order was 50c )

So now I know the real name...... anvil is easier
