Darth Vader was actually a vending machine.......!?
Darth Vader was actually a vending machine.......!?
Just came across this original Star Wars film prop coming up for auction soon. And pretty damn surprised to read in the description of the use of three x Penny coin slots on the Darth Vader chest panel!!! Begs the question, what exactly did he vend - Topps Bubble Gum??
"The front has red and green resin buttons on the right side, and three silver slots on the left side, which are actually coin-slots from a British vending machine."

If it's anything like Peter Cook and Dudley Moore's sketch of Gerry Anderson's puppets "Superthunderstingcar" Darth might have been in the hot drinks market.
