German tank game conundrum
An unusual game just sold on German ebay: 1920s variant of the Clown wall machine with a tin profile of a tank in place of the clown. Unfortunately, the lithograph is gone, so we can only guess what it was. The machine is actually in Holland and I think it might be operating on the old penny (hard to be sure). If so, presumably the machine was re-styled for British post WW1 consumption, the object being to bomb a German tank. Of course it could have been restyled after the outbreak of WW2. I couldn't accurately match the profile to a real tank. On the other hand, if it's on German coinage, the tank must be United Nations.

Mr pennymachines, would you like more info about this machine? I have his phone number somewhere. This is a very serious collector of these machines.

Hi Dutch boy,
Yes, that would be cool - I'm always keen to learn more about such games. It occurred to me afterwards the tank profile might not originally have had any graphics on it, which would be disappointing... But perhaps your friend knows otherwise.

Mr p, i did have contact and you are right it was on old penny. He could not tell if the tank was original. It was very well made and altough he has hundreds of this machines through his hands, he was not sure.

Hi,
I just found this here, and wanted to post picture from the finished machine.
It was not me but one of our members, we sought finally that it was a battle-ship.

Thanks Cleantex - nice to see it again. I didn't think of a battleship.
