Repro Exhibit Supply Tiger's Tail identified

Post by arrgee »

A machine that I saw a while ago, Tigers Tail: put your foot on the metal plate, pull the rope hard and with any luck a roar will be heard. (Another machine was by its side hence cut-off portion of lower left hand side) Stands about 5ft high.

Anyone know the make, I was told Ahrens?

Exhibit Supply, late 1920s. This one appears to be a Papa repro, he added the claw feet. http://www.arcadetreasures.com/pull-the-tiger-tail.html

Gameswat, your knowledge never ceases to amaze !WORSHIPFULL!

The chap who owned this often made trips to the States so the repro scenario (and condition of the machine) would make sense.

I like this Callie "Micky Finn" version with what looks like the face of our old friend Alfred E.

I have a fibreglass mould of the tiger. I may attempt a repro for myself one day.
