Re: Oh Boy Gum vending machine
It was the only machine I have ever owned that vended on a half penny.
I gave it a new lease of life.

Wow, never thought I would see another machine, and good to see how it would have looked when it was new, and what the bottom part of the machine looks like that is missing on mine. Made my day that has.

Was 'Drawer' wrongly spelt on the original?

HEY... Good Point. I don't know now. Machine long gone. Might have been a dyslexic moment on my part. I have been known to have them.

Just had a look through my old pictures and yes a Newbie mistake at the time. It was one of the first machines I ever restored so I can forgive myself for the minor matter.
Re: Oh Boy Gum vending machine
Some folk would have preferred the machine in 'original' condition.
I'm not one of them. There's a limit to originality, and that one's a long way over it!

I have a 100 plus original vendors that I would never touch but I’ve had many more that needed something.

Just got back from the locksmiths who managed to get her open, just means now the machine can be mounted on a wall again, the screws holding the gum drawer are seized solid though, wd 40 time I think, I have enclosed some close up pics of the front decals as well.

Well done. Looks all complete in there.

I always find that Plus Gas is better than the ubiquitous WD40 for freeing seized bolts and nuts. It's also available in non spray can, so you don't have to coat all the surrounding items too.
