Mills Deluxe

This is my latest purchase. The bloke I got it from says it is a Tom Boland machine. Does that mean Mr Boland bought the mechanism from Mills and made his own case or is it an American bandit re-cased? He also said it was '50s, but to me it looks '60s. Any info on age or history would be welcome. It's been converted to new penny, so I guess it was a working machine until 30 years ago when the seller got it. Hopefully I can put it back to old penny.

Yes, possibly Boland's last machines using Mills parts like most of their other machines. Would guess late '50s to early '60s.

I know it should be red but it came to me yellow and I think it looks better yellow. I managed to locate some slot-less screws to replace the original rusted ones. Not many slot-less screws around.....

I got the main ones from here. The 4 case ones are 1 1/2" stainless rivets that I tapped a thread on.
