Multiplex??

Post by fredslilja »

Hi guys
I bought this machine a couple of months ago in Sweden. The seller didn´t know much about it. It had belonged to his fatherinlaw and when he died his wife didn´t want to keep it. Unfortunatelly he had been stored it for a couple of years in a barn.
I have done some work on it and I think it came out quite nice. It works perfectly. The writing on the playfield is in swedish and on the top it is written "MULTIPLEX" (not the real name of it I supose). It works on old swedish 2-öre coins.
I myself think it comes from Germany.

Maybe someone knows something about this machine. Maybe even someone has a picture of a machine like this or a similar one.
I would be happy to know :)

Fascinating machine! I've looked through my German books but found nothing yet. It certainly looks German and quite early - I'd guess 1920s or earlier. How does the game play? How many coins can you win?

I will try to explain with how it works:

1. Put in the coin.
2. Turn the wheel so that for example the drawer nr 4 comes out.
3 and 4. Flip the coin with the ring and hope that it comes in drawer nr 4.
5. Hopefully the coin comes in the drawer nr 4.
2. Then you turn the wheel back again and the nr 4 drawer goes inside the playfield. The coin then mecanicly moves a pin.
6. This opens up the pipe under drawer nr 4 and releases all the coins in the pipe.
7. Win
