Gold Digger Crane

Post by pennymachines »

A collector asked me to post this image of his nice counter-top Gold Digger Crane. He says he recently purchased it from "a lady" together with three other machines.

Hello,
It might be worth contacting James Roller about this crane as he probably owns one or has sold one: http://www.jamesroller.com

I saw this all-mechanical crane at the first slot machine auction I attended (Sotheby's, Chester). I wondered if it would ever resurface again. In its Art-Deco incarnation it was originally called the Panama Digger and was made by the Scientific Machine Corporation between 1934-37 (info. courtesy Arcade 1, R M Bueschel & S Gronowski).
