Robert Rowland started a new series of articles in issue 41, taking a closer look at the mechanics and operation of electro-mechanical wall machines. He started with a look at Twinkletoes, a 1960s machine supplied by Ruffler & Walker.

Robert continued in issue 42 with a look at Top Ten. This is one of a number of 1960s electro-mechs, as mentioned previously, which has an internal switch that allows the operator to disable certain payouts (I really still can't believe this was legal)!

Robert concluded this short series in issue 43 with a look at Rotofruit. There was just one picture published in the magazine - Robert did supply me with a picture of the two uniselectors, but due to space limitations this picture was not included in the article, plus I thought that by now you must all know what a uniselector looks like! Just in case you don't, the picture's posted below.
